Osher Günsberg Wiki Biography

Born as Andrew Günsberg on the 29th March 1974, in London, England, Osher is a radio and TV personality, best known to the world as a host of the famous Australian reality TV shows “The Bachelor” (2013-2017), and “The Bachelorette” (2015-2016), among other appearances.

Have you ever wondered how rich Osher Günsberg is, as of late 2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Günsberg’s net worth is as high as $12 million, an amount earned through his successful career, active since the mid- ‘90s.

Osher is the son of a Czech-Jewish father, and a mother with Lithuanian roots. His family immigrated to Adelaide, South Australia when he was still a toddler, and later settled in Brisbane. There, Osher went to St. Joseph’s College, matriculating in 1992.

His career started when he was 20 years old, when he began working as a “Black Thunder” driver, while being a part of the B105 radio station, covering on-air midnight-to-dawn shifts. Four years later he decided to switch stations and joined SAFM, where he got airtime during the afternoon. It was during this period that he was given the nickname Andrew G, by SAFM’s program director.

Osher steadily became more popular in the Australian world of entertainment, primarily as a radio host, but also managing to take over prime positions on television too.

In the mid- 2000s, Osher hosted the Australian radio chart countdown program “Take 40 Australia”, being heard on close to 100 stations across Australia, which only increased his wealth. His next successful project was the radio show “The Hot Hits”, which was later renamed to “The Hot Hills Live from LA”, since Osher was doing the show from LA. Several years later, he joined the HIT 105’s breakfast show, alongside Abby Coleman and Stav Davidson.

Most recently, he was given his own show “Osher’s Love Line”, which is aired on Sunday evenings.

When it comes to his career on television, back in 1999 he joined the Channel V, hosting several shows, such as “By Demand” and “Joint”, while also during the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, Osher was the host of the late night variety show “Rings of Fire”, which covered the event. However, after seven years, he left Channel V and focused on other endeavors.

In 2003 he had his first engagement on TV Network Ten, hosting “Australian Idol” with James Mathison, while in 2009 he was the solo host of the seventh installment of the popular show, and served as the compere of the game show “The Con Test”. He was starting to become the leading face of Network Ten, and has since been heard and seen in such shows as “Bondi Rescue” (2006-2011), “The Project” (2011-2012), “The Bachelor: Australia” (2013-2017), and “The Bachelorette: Australia” (2015-2016), among many others, all of which added to his wealth.

To speak further of his accomplishments, in 2011 he was the host of the CBS’ show “Live to Dance”, produced by Paula Abdul.

Regarding his personal life, Osher has been married to makeup artist and stylist Audrey Griffen since 2016. Previously, he was married to actress Noa Tishby from 2008 until 2011.

Birthnamed Andrew, he decided to change that name when he was 38 years old. Osher means happiness in the Hebrew language, and he adopted that name as he wanted to showcase his changed outlook and attitude to life. However, most recently, he stated that he has been suffering from depression, OCD, and social anxiety disorder as well, for quite some time.
