All of his efforts have helped put his net worth to where it is today.
How rich is Nick Price? As of mid-2017, sources inform us of a net worth that is at $12 million, mostly earned through success in professional golf – he was at the top of the Official World Rankings in the mid-1990s, and has been inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame. As he continues his endeavors, it is expected that his wealth will also continue to increase.
Nick attended Prince Edward School, and during his time there was captain of the golf team. During the Bush War, he served in the Rhodesian Air Force. In 1977, he then began a professional golf career participating on the Southern Africa Tour, before moving to the European Tour and then the PGA Tour in 1983.
One of his first tournament wins outside of South Africa was at the 1980 Swiss Open when he was still relatively unknown. He won his first PGA Tour event in the same year he joined the PGA, at The World Series of Golf, however, after that win, it would be eight years before he got his next victory. In the mid-1990s, Price continued to get wins and was regarded as the best player in the world. He won two majors in 1994 – the Open and the PGA – and his net worth would increase significantly. He topped the PGA Tour Money list for two years and set new earnings record. He then spent a total of 43 weeks at the top spot of the Official World Gold Rankings. In 1993 and 1997, Nick also won the Vardon Trophy which is given to the player with the lowest adjusted scoring average with a minimum of 60 rounds. He’s been well known for his ability to make long drives which are exceptionally straight. He’s also credited for his ability to manipulate the direction of his shots. In 2003, he was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame, having achieved 48 tour wins. Two years later, he was given the highest honor of the USGA, the Bob Jones Award. In 2011, he then received the Old Tom Morris Award thanks to his lifetime commitments to the game of golf.
Price continues to play professionally – winning his first Champions Tour event in 2009 – and has also expanded into creating his own golf design company in Florida, and has his own signature line of apparel. These ventures have helped his net worth rise further.
For his personal life, it is known that Nick is married to Sue and they have three children. They reside in Hobe Sound, Florida. He has citizenship in the UK and Zimbabwe. During each season, he writes in his diary “Persistence, persistence, persistence”. Aside from these, his nephew is Zimbabwean national cricketer Ray Price.
