During the mid-1970s, Nick moved to Puerto Rico, becoming the tennis director at Dorado Beach Hotel, where he worked alongside his assistant coach Julio Moros. In 1977 Nick relocated to Longboat Key, Florida in order to start working as an instructor at the Colony Beach and Tennis Resort.
