Natalie Louise Maines Pasdar Wiki Biography
Natalie Louise Maines Pasdar was born in Lubbock, Texas, USA, on October 14, 1974, and is a musician-singer and songwriter, perhaps best known for being the lead vocalist of the Dixie Chicks women’s country band.
Her music industry career has been active since 1995.
According to reputable sources, the overall size of Natalie’s net worth, accrued through her professional career on the American music scene, has been reported to be over $40 million.
Natalie Maines, a country musician and record producer, was raised in Lubbock by her father, Lloyd Maines, and her mother, Tina May Maines.
She went to elementary school in Williams, after which she attended O. L. Slaton High School Junior, where she had been a cheerleader.
After enrolling in 1992, she attended several universities, West Texas A&M and South Plains College, where she met musician Cary Banks, thanks to whom she began a professional career in music by entering Berklee College of Music; but in 1995 she left school.
Natalie then devoted herself to music, making her debut in 1995 on her album “Dancehall Dreamer” as a background vocal for Pat Green.
She auditioned for the role of the lead singer of the country band Dixie Chicks before the year ended.
Natalie’s popularity grew year by year with the Dixies, and, more importantly, her net worth also increased, thanks to the group’s success.
The Dixie Chicks have released four albums since Natalie became the lead singer, prior to a hiatus in 2007.
The Wide Open Space (1998), which reached diamond status with sales of more than eight million in the USA, was the first album the Dixies released with Natalie as their lead singer.
Their second single, entitled “Fly,” which reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, was released a year later and gained diamond status when it sold more than 10 million copies; these album sales definitely improved the net worth of Natalie by a wide margin.
Before the hiatus, the group released two more albums “Home” (2002), and “Taking A Long Way” (2006), earning six times and two times platinum status, raising further Natalie’s net worth. In 2007, the group members agreed to take a break from music, and devote more time to families, however, the band’s status remained as successful.
Natalie has received several prestigious awards and recognitions as part of the Dixie Chicks due to her talents, including 13 Grammy Awards and eight Academy of Country Music Awards, among many others.
Natalie Maines was married to bassist Michael Tarabay from 1997 to 1999, when they agreed to separate, talking about her personal life.
A year later, she married actor Adrian Pasdar, with whom she has two sons; they split time between their homes in Los Angeles, New York City, and Austin.
Natalie is also remembered for her charitable work.
She performs Transcendental Meditation in her spare time.
