Morgan Webb Wiki Biography

Morgan Ailis Webb was born on the 5th October 1978 in Toronto, Ontario Canada, and is a TV host best known to the world for hosting of the now cancelled video game show “X-Play” (2005-2013), among many other differing engagements.

Have you ever wondered how rich Morgan Webb is, as of early 2017? According to authoritative sources it has been estimated that Webb’s net worth is as high as $200,000, an amount earned through her successful career in the entertainment industry.

In her early years, Morgan was involved in commercials for Gerber baby food, McDonald’s and Kenner Toys. Ironically, television was forbidden for young Morgan, but instead of urging her parents to let her watch television, she started playing video games, and as she got older her interest in computers intensified. She went to North Hollywood High School, and following her matriculation enrolled at the University of California, Berkeley from which she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in rhetoric, while also obtaining a minor in the Italian language. Although she attended college, her love for computers never ceased as she studied computer skills in her free time, which then helped her a lot in finding a job as a website administrator for a dot-com company. However, in 2000 she was made redundant after the dot-com bubble burst, but with the help of her friend Catherine Schwartz, a television host, was hired at TechTV.

Morgan’s first position at the new company was as an associate producer and web researcher for the show “The Screen Savers”. Then in 2002 she also started co-hosting “Call for Help”, next to Chris Pirillo. This lasted until 2003, when she left both positions and concentrated solely on the co-hosting job of “X-Play”, with Adam Sessler. In 2004, TechTV merged with G4, which resulted in massive layoffs within TechTV employees, but fortunately Morgan remained with the Network, and continued hosting “X-Play” until 2013, which significantly increased her net worth.

Apart from “X-Play”, she has also been the host of such shows as “G4 Underground” (2009), among others. Her most recent engagement includes working as a creative advisor and consultant for Activision Blizzard, and also working as a host of the show called “Wow Source”, dedicated to the World of Warcraft video gaming.

To speak further of her accomplishments, Morgan has also written for FHM, a column entitled “Tips from the Gaming Goddess”, which also added to her net worth.

Thanks to her popularity and good looks as well, Morgan has graced the pages of several popular magazines, including Maxim, FHM, and was also invited to appear nude in Playboy, however, she refused.

Morgan has also made several appearances in variety talk shows, such as “The Tyra Banks Show” (2008), “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” (2009), and “Chelsea Lately” (2009).

Regarding her personal life, Morgan has been married to author Rob Reid since 2006.
