Mike Smith (Actor) Wiki Biography

Michael E. Smith was born on the 27th August 1972 in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, Canada, and is an actor, probably best known for his role of Bubbles, and beside that, as the co-writer of the film and TV series “Trailer Park Boys”. He is also recognized for being a musician – singer and guitar player. His career has been active since 1995.

Have you ever wondered how rich is Mike Smith, as of early 2016? It has been estimated from authoritative sources that the overall amount of Mike’s net worth is over $2 million. The main source of this sum of money is the entertainment industry; he has been accumulating his fortune not only as an actor, but also as a writer and musician.

Mike Smith was raised in Thorburn. By the age of four, he was already playing hockey, and as a seven-year-old he began playing the guitar. After graduation from high school, he became a student at St. Francis Xavier University, where he majored in English. Side by side with education, Mike also played hockey in the Nova Scotia Midget AAA Hockey League for the Pictou County Weeks, but later he gave up it to start pursuing a career as a musician.

As he was a great guitar player, Mike Smith’s professional career of a musician began when he found engagement with the rock band Sandbox, and soon he signed a contract with Canada’s EMI labels and the USA Nettwerk. The band released two studio albums entitled “A Murder In The Glee Club” and “Bionic”. Thanks to those, he was nominated for several awards, including CASBY Award and Juno Award, and his net worth started rising with his popularity. Subsequently, he joined another band called Bubbles & the Shit Rockers, which worked on “Trailer Park Boys: The Movie Soundtrack”, and this work made his name more known as he also started working as an actor.

Mike’s acting career began in 2001, when he made his debut appearance in the role of Bubbles in the TV series entitled “Trailer Park Boys”, which was repeated in films including “Trailer Park Boys: The Movie” (2006), “Trailer Park Boys: Countdown to Liquor Day” (2009), and “Trailer Park Boys: Don’t Legalize It” (2014). All these appearances also contributed to Mike’s overall fortune and led him to win a Gemini Award twice. Beside those, Mike has also managed to get roles in other films and TV series, such as “The Drunk And On Drugs Happy Funtime Hour” (2011), “Lloyd The Conqueror” (2011), “24 Hour Rental” (2014), “The Playboy Morning Show” (2015), among others. Mike’s net worth is still rising.

Additional to his acting career, Mike has also starred in two music videos, in Snow’s music video for the single “Legal”, and in “The Darkest One” by Tragically Hip, which also increased his net worth.

When it comes to Mike Smith’s personal life, there is no information in the media about it, except the fact that he was briefly engaged in 2006 to actress Nichole Hiltz. Otherwise he is a private person off-stage.
