Michelle Malkin Wiki Biography

Born Michelle Maglalang on the 20th October 1970, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania USA, she is an American blogger, author, political commentator and film director. She is known as a Fox News Channel contributor, her columns regarding immigration enforcement, unemployment and the custom of granting US citizenship which she opposes, appear in many magazines and websites. Michelle has directed several documentaries and a TV series called “Michelle Malkin Investigates”, besides being a frequent guest on MSNBC, C-SPAN and national radio programs. Furthermore, she has published several books and founded websites such as Twitch and Hot Air.

Have you ever wondered how rich Michelle Malkin is, as of early 2018? According to authoritative sources, her net worth has been estimated to be as high as $3 million, an amount earned largely through her journalist career, active since 1992.

Born to Filippino parents who immigrated to the USA not long before Michelle’s birth, Michelle describes her parents as not really politically active. The family moved to Absecon, New Jersey, where she attended Holy Spirit Roman Catholic High School, following her parents’ Roman Catholic faith, where she edited the school newspaper, and took piano lessons. After matriculating, Michelle enrolled at Oberlin College, Ohio, initially planning to study music, but quickly changed her major to English. During her college years, Michelle tried to keep herself financially independent, working at several part-time positions including tax preparation aide and network librarian. Her first article was negatively criticized by the college community, later describing her alma mater as “radically left-wing”.

After graduation in 1992, Michelle started her career at the Los Angeles Daily News as a columnist, working there ‘til 1994, then for one year at Competitive Enterprise Institute, a non-profit libertarian research institute. She moved to Seattle in 1996, writing columns for The Seattle Times. In 1999 she joined Creators Syndicate, then started commentating on the Fox News Channel, and hosted The O’Reilly Factor, but left after Boston Globe published an article with derogatory remarks about her, which were not refuted by Fox News, yet she still appears in the Fox News programs. Her net worth was well established.

Malkin then caught public attention when she alleged that presidential candidate John Kerry had lied about his record of the Vietnam War. She also took her part in disputes on the Jamil Hussein controversy, questioning the existence of Iraqi police Captain Jamil Hussein who was claimed to be a source for over 60 stories about the Iraq war. In 2006 Malkin posted a column “Seditious Santa Cruz vs. America” reacting on the Student Against War group’s protests. Refused to remove personal data of some of the students she had included in the article, Michelle became involved in the internet conflict with the campus group.

As an author, Michelle published her first book “Invasion: How America Still Welcomes Terrorists, Criminals, and Other” in 2002, which became a New York Times bestseller, which significantly increased her net worth. Two years later she wrote, “In Defense of Internment: The Case for ‘Racial Profiling’ in World War II and the War on Terror”, on the internment of thousands of Japanese Americans in prison camps during World War II. In the book Michelle was defending the US government’s actions, suggesting the same procedure be applied to the current situation, considering that there are a large number of Arab-Americans living in the USA – the book received harsh criticism from civil rights organizations and liberal section of the society. Michelle went on with “Unhinged: Exposing Liberals Gone Wild” in 2005, and then she crashed down on the Obama administration with her fourth book: “Culture of Corruption: Obama and His Team of Tax Cheats, Crooks, and Cronies”.

As a blogger, Michelle has launched several political-oriented blogs, including MichelleMalkin.com, and was called one of the “best read national conservative bloggers” by American Republicans. Her other projects were Hot Air, a website which also received a “conservative” label”, and Twitchy, an adapted version of Twitter.

Apart from publishing, Michelle Malkin directed the documentary “Daniel In The Den”, voicing her disagreement with the court’s verdict sentencing sexual predator Daniel Holtzclaw to 263 years of imprisonment. Her other directing productions include political show “We Will Not Confirm”, and documentary TV series “Michelle Malkin Investigates”.

When it comes to her personal life, Michelle has been married to Jesse Malkin since 1993, her boyfriend she started dating at Oberlin; they now live in Colorado Springs with their two children.
