Michele Marie Amble was born on the 6th April 1956, in Waterloo, Iowa USA, of part-Norwegian origin, and is a politician of the Republican Party; she was a member of the House of Representatives, representing the 6th district of the state of Minnesota, and also a candidate for the Republican nomination for the 2012 presidential elections. She has been active in some form of political life since 1976.

How much is the net worth of Michele Bachmann? It has been estimated by authoritative sources that the outright size of her wealth is as much as $3 million, as of the data presented in the middle of 2017.

To begin with, initially the girl was raised in Waterloo, in a Lutheran democratic family. During her childhood the family moved to Anoka, Minnesota, where after the divorce of her parents Michele was brought up by her mother Jean Johnson. After matriculating from high school she went to work for a while in a kibbutz in Israel, before in 1978 she graduating from Winona State University, then she took more courses. From 1988 to 1993, she worked as a lawyer for the governmental agency. She stopped working to become full-time housewife.

In 1976, when she was a Democrat, she joined with her fiance in the pro-life movement, working also on the campaign of Jimmy Carter. During his presidency, she was disappointed with his approach and therefore contributed in 1980 to the campaign of Ronald Reagan, becoming more and more involved in politics, for example protesting against the construction of a hospital in 1991 where abortions were performed. In 1993, she started her own school in protest against the educational standards imposed by the state.

In the elections for the Senate from Minnesota in 2000, she defeated Garry Laidig. The state Senate gave an amendment in 2004 to the constitution of Minnesota, which expressed that marriage would only be open to people of different sexes. In 2007, Bachmann was elected the first Republican woman on behalf of the State of Minnesota. As oil prices rose around 2008 to record levels, Bachmann was one of the strongest advocates of research into oil and gas exploration in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) in Alaska. During the US presidential election, they criticized the tires of Barack Obama with the pastor Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers. Bachmann proposed an amendment to the 2010 Constitution for stating that the dollar would remain the national currency of the US. She did this in response to proposals from China to create a global reference currency.

Bachmann announced her candidacy for the US presidency on the 14th June, 2011. In the beginning of 2012, she gained a relatively low score (just 5%) and was ranked in 6th position. She announced her withdrawal from the race at the White House the next morning. She retired from the House of Representatives from Minnesota’s 6th district in 2015, but she has not left public life, and remains active in the Republican party.

Finally, in the personal life of Michele, she married Marcus Bachmann in 1978. They have five children and also took 23 children into foster care. In 2012, Bachmann acquired Swiss nationality after her husband was accepted by the Swiss.

Michele Marie Amble Quotes

  • [in 2009] Carbon dioxide is portrayed as harmful. But there isn’t even one study that can be produced that shows that carbon dioxide is a harmful gas.
  • [in 2011] I will tell you that I had a mother last night come up to me here in Tampa, Florida, after the debate. She told me that her little daughter took that vaccine, that injection, and she suffered from mental retardation thereafter.
  • [in January 2011] But we also know that the very founders that wrote those documents worked tirelessly until slavery was no more in the United States . . . I think it is high time that we recognize the contribution of our forbearers who worked tirelessly — men like John Quincy Adams, who would not rest until slavery was extinguished in the country. [NOTE: (1) The “founding fathers” did not end slavery. (2) John Quincy Adams was not one of them.]
  • [in March 2014] The thing that I think that is getting a little tiresome is, the gay community thinks that they’ve so bullied the American people and they so intimidated politicians that politicians fear them, and so they think that they get to dictate the agenda everywhere.
  • [in 2009[ I find it interesting that it was back in the 1970s that the swine flu broke out under another, then under another Democrat president, Jimmy Carter. I’m not blaming this on President [Barack Obama]. I just think it’s an interesting coincidence. [NOTE: The 1976 swine flu outbreak occurred during the administration of President Gerald Ford, a Republican, not Jimmy Carter.]
  • [in 2011, claiming that a recent hurricane and a recent earthquake were signs from God to cut government spending] I don’t know how much God has to do to get the attention of the politicians. We’ve had an earthquake; we’ve had a hurricane. He said, “Are you going to start listening to me here?” Listen to the American people because the American people are roaring right now. They know government is on a morbid obesity diet and we’ve got to rein in the spending.
  • [in 2005, regarding the federally mandated minimum wage] If we took away the minimum wage–if conceivably it was gone–we could potentially virtually wipe out unemployment completely because we would be able to offer jobs at whatever level.
  • [in 2011, comparing herself to actor John Wayne] Well what I want them [voters] to know is just like, John Wayne was from Waterloo, Iowa. That’s the kind of spirit that I have, too. [NOTE: John Wayne was from Winterset, Iowa, not Waterloo.]
  • [in 2008, advocating the investigation of Democratic members of Congress] I wish the American media would take a great look at the views of the people in Congress and find out: Are they pro-America or anti-America?
