Meredith Ann Baxter was born on the 21st June 1947, in South Pasadena, California USA, and is an actress and television producer, active mainly on television, known particularly for her roles in television series including “Family” (1976–1980) and “Family Ties” (1982 – 1989). For several years she was credited as Meredith Baxter-Birney, taking the surname of her second husband. She has been active in the entertainment industry since 1971.
