The band’s next release was even more successful, as it topped the US Billboard 200, and reached the No. 2 position on the UK Albums Chart. It achieved 8x platinum status in the US, and over two million album sales worldwide. “Step by Step” was also a huge hit, topping both US Billboard 200 and UK Albums charts, and achieving triple platinum status in the US, and platinum in Europe, with more than five million albums sold in total.

Maurice Starr later produced Perfect Gentlemen’s “Rated Pg” in 1990, Homework’s self-titled album in 1990, Tiffany’s “New Inside” in 1990, and Ana’s “Body Language”, also in 1990, which helped him to increase his net worth significantly.
