One of the most prominent names when it comes to professional wrestling, one may wonder how rich is Matt Hardy? As estimated by sources, Matt counts his net worth at an amount of $5 million in early 2016. Obviously, he has managed to amass this wealth being involved in his career for more than two decades, a part of World Wrestling Entertainment as well as TNA has earned quite well to Matt making him a multi-millionaire as of today.

Matt Hardy was raised in North Carolina along with his brother Jeff Hardy. He attended Union Pines High School, and then went to the University of North Carolina where he intended to earn an engineering degree. However, he dropped out from college to look after his sick father, but eventually he earned an associate degree from Sandhills Community College. He was athletic from his childhood and played football as well as baseball until his high school. After graduating college, Matt and his brother Jeff Hardy started their own federation – “Trampoline Wrestling Federation” – in which Matt participated under the name “High Voltage”. Later, both the brothers went on to World Wrestling Federation, signing in 1994.

Matt and Jeff became a tag team, and won their first WWF Tag Team Championship in 1999 against The Acolytes. The duo was also noted for their long term feud with other professional wrestlers Edge and Christian. During the time, Matt and Jeff were managed by Michael Hayes and Terri Runnels before finally finding a manager in their real-life friend Lita. As Lita joined the brothers as their manager, they were collectively recognized by the name “Team Extreme” and competed in several fights. Eventually, Jeff and Matt started their solo careers as wrestlers while also working together at times. Matt’s first win as a solo wrestler was in the European Championship on “Smackdown!”.

Matt Hardy was let go from World Wrestling Entertainment in 2005 but several petitions signed by his fans and followers made him accept an offer to join WWE once again. During his career, Matt has managed to win several titles including WWWF Hardcore Championship, WWE United States Championship and more. He shares a Bragging Rights Trophy win with other professional wrestlers like Chris Jericho, Kane, Finlay, R-Truth, David Hart Smith and Tyson Kidd. Currently, Matt is signed to TNA.
