According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Lawrence’s net worth is as high as $4 million, an amount earned through his successful acting career. In addition to performing in movies, Lawrence has also played in TV series, which has also improved his wealth.
Matthew Lawrence was born a son of Joseph Lawrence, Sr., an insurance broker, and Donna Lynn, a personnel manager. He grew up in Pennsylvania along with his brothers, Joey and Andrew – also now actors – and went to the Abington Friends School.
Lawrence’s debut came in 1984 when he played as Danny Carrington, Jr. in three episodes of the hit TV series “Dynasty”. He then appeared in 13 episodes of “Sara” in 1985, and in 18 episodes of “Gimme a Break!” from 1986 to 1987. By the end of the ‘80s, Matthew had roles in John Hughes’ comedy “Planes, Trains & Automobiles” (1987) starring Steve Martin and John Candy, while in 1988, he played in Primetime Emmy Award-nominated TV movie called “David”. In 1990, Lawrence starred alongside Debbie Harry and Christian Slater in “Tales from the Darkside: The Movie”, and three years after, he appeared in Chris Columbus’ Oscar-winning comedy “Mrs. Doubtfire” with Robin Williams, Sally Field, and Pierce Brosnan. His net worth was well established.
From 1995 to 1997, Matthew played Matt Roman in 40 episodes of “Brotherly Love”, and then from 1997 to 2000, he appeared as Jack Hunter in 68 episodes of “Boy Meets World”.
