Mary Jo Matalin Wiki Biography
Mary Joe Matalin was born on 19 August 1953, in Calumet City, Illinois USA, of Croatian and Irish descent. Mary is a political consultant, best known for her work with the Republican Party, having served Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, and George W. Bush, and also as a counselor to Vice-President Dick Cheney. All of her efforts have helped put her net worth to where it is today.
How rich is Mary Matalin? As of mid-2017, sources estimate a net worth that is at $5 million, mostly earned through a successful career in politics. She appears in the award-winning documentary “Boogie Man: The Lee Atwater Story”, and recently changed to Libertarian. As she continues her career, it is expected that her wealth will also continue to increase.
Mary attended Thornton Fractional North High School, and after matriculating went to Western Illinois University. After graduating, she attended the Hofstra University School of Law for one year before deciding to drop out.
Matalin’s first campaign was for Dave O’Neal’s bid for the US Senate in 1980. She then started working with the Republican National Committee, for two decades as a Republican strategist. She rose in her status quickly, also increasing her net worth with it. She became the aide to Richard Bond, and would earn national attention when becoming part of the 1988 presidential campaign of George H. W. Bush. After the campaign, she was appointed to the Chief of Staff of Lee Atwater, staying in that capacity for a year. In 1992, she was the deputy campaign manager for Bush’s reelection campaign. The following year, she became a host of the political debate show “Crossfire”, and also maintained her own radio talk show, continuing to appear as a regular radio and television political personality in the next few years.
In 2005, she was hired as the chief editor of Threshold Editions. The publishing imprint would be responsible for publications such as “The Obama Nation” and “Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry”. The following year, she became the Treasurer of George Allen’s re-election committee, and two years after that part of the Board of Directors at The George Washington University’s Cheney Cardiovascular Institute. In 2009, she became a political contributor to CNN and then started appearing for Maker’s Mark Kentucky Straight Bourbon commercials alongside her husband. In 2013, she was named as one of the “25 most influential women in the GOP”. However, one of her most recent moves, is changing her party registration to Libertarian; one of her main reasons for switching was due to their two successive presidential elections loss, and her criticism of Donald Trump.

They’ve made appearances in various projects together such as the film “The War Room”. Mary has also written various books, and the couple is also mentioned in several politically related books.
