Marshawn Lynch Wiki Biography
Marshawn Terrell Lynch was born on 22 April 1986, in Oakland, California USA. He is a well-known American football player, who has played in such teams as the “Buffalo Bills” and “Seattle Seahawks”. During his career Marshawn has achieved a lot and received various awards; some of the highlights include being the Super Bowl and NFC Champion with the team, NFL total touchdown leader, and Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week. Lynch still continues playing American football and he might achieve even better results in the future.
So how rich is Marshawn Lynch? It is estimated by sources that Lynch’s net worth is over $14 million, mainly gained through his successful career as an American football player. As he is now 29 years old, there is a high possibility that this sum of money will become higher. Marshawn is considered to be one of the best players, so it is clear that he has a lot of chances in becoming more popular and richer. Hopefully, Lynch will not experience any injuries and will be able to continue is career for as long as he wants.
When Marshawn Lynch was still very young, he was really successful in several sports, including basketball, wrestling, track and, of course, football. In all of these sports Marshawn was able to achieve high results, but later he focused more on football. When Lynch started studying at the University of California he became a member of university’s football team and was able to improve his skills. During the time Lynch was playing for the University of California, he set several records, but perhaps most importantly in 2006 he was named 8th best player in the nation by Sports Illustrated, such that he dropped out of UC to enter the NFL draft.
In 2007 Marshawn began his professional career when he was selected in the first round of the NFL draft by the “Buffalo Bills”. This immediately added a lot to Lynch’s net worth, as he signed a six-year contract for close to $19 million. Soon Marshawn was able to prove that he really has the needed skills to become one of the best players. In 2008 Lynch experienced an injury and had to stop playing for some period of time. Recovering from his injury did not take very long and soon he was able to play for the team, however other injuries, plus a suspension for a firearms misdemeanor, meant that he never reached his potential for the Buffalo Bills, and in 2010 Marshawn was traded to the“Seattle Seahawks” for whom he continues playing as of 2015.
As Marshawn signed a four-year contract for $31 million, this change had a huge impact on the growth of Lynch’s net worth. The next three years were his best, as he was voted into the Pro-Bowl each year. Most notable was the fact that he assisted the team to win their first Super Bowl in 2013. Lynch also had a terrific 2014 season, although the team was beaten in the 2014 Super Bowl, and Lynch subsequently held talks which saw him gain an extra two-year contract worth $24 million.
To talk about Marshawn Lynch’s personal life, it can be said that he gained himself the nickname “beast mode” referring to his style of playing. What is more, Lynch was also involved in some legal troubles as he was accused of running away after having an accident while driving, and also of reckless driving. Perhaps as a result of these problems, Lynch is noticeably reticent about talking to the media, so little is known about the rest of his personal life.
