Have you ever wondered how much wealth this rocker has accumulated so far? How rich Marc Roberge is? According to sources, it is estimated that the amount of Marc Roberge’s net worth, as of early 2017, exceeds the sum of $5 million. It has been acquired through his career in the music industry which has been active since 1996, although real commercial success came after 2005.
After matriculating from Thomas Spring Wootton High School in his hometown, Marc enrolled at Ohio State University. Under the influence of his older brother Jeff, who was Foxtrot Zulu’s drummer, Marc alongside his high school friends founded his own rock and jam band in 1996 – O.U.R., standing for “Of a Revolution” – and in the beginning consisted of four members – Marc as frontman, leading vocalist and guitarist; Richard On as the lead guitarist; Benj Gershman as bassist; and Chris Culos playing drums. Later the crew met Jerry DePizzo who is now on saxophone and guitar. From 2006, Mikel Paris joined the band and contributed with his keyboard-playing skills.
In 1997 the band released their debut album “The Wandered” which featured songs “That Was a Crazy Game of Poker” and “Black Rock”, which are still quite popular as they became staples of their live performances. Their second studio album “Soul’s Aflame” hit the charts in 1999. Although Marc and his bandmates lacked formal marketing and mass media advertising, they gained an impressive amount of popularity. In the course of the next several years, O.U.R. led by Marc performed as often as it could, playing in sororities, fraternities, college campuses, Ohio’s bar and club circuit. These ventures and initial success earned a respectable dose of fame for Marc Roberge and O.U.R. and also provided the basis for his current net worth.
The band’s third album – “Risen” – was released in 2001, peaked at No. 11 of the Billboard Top Sales chart while the fourth one, “In Between Now and Then” didn’t manage to become a commercial success after releasing in 2003. However, the band’s real success and breakthrough in Marc Roberge’s music career occurred in 2005, when “Stories of a Stranger” hit the charts. It peaked at No. 40 on the Billboard 200 and provided hit singles “Heard the Word”, “Love and Memories” and “Lay Down”. These accomplishments were crowned by a great live performance in Madison Square Garden in New York City, which was vattended by over 18,000 fans. Doubtlessly, these achievements helped Marc Roberge to dramatically increase the total of his net worth.
Since then, O.U.R. led by Marc has released three more studio albums – “All Sides” (2008), “King” (2011) and “The Rockville LP” (2014) which featured hit singles such as “Over and Over”, “Heaven”, “Peace”, “I Go Through” and “Follow Me, Follow You”.In addition, they’ve released five live albums and one compilation, named “XX” and released in 2016 to mark their 20th anniversary.
Marc Roberge and his bandmates are the founders of Heard The Word foundation focused on supporting education and sustainable program for youth worldwide. In the 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Los Angeles, California, O.U.R. live performed at the opening and closing ceremonies.
