Mandy Harvey Wiki Biography
Born Amanda Lynn Harvey on the 2nd January 1988, in Cincinnati, Ohio USA, she is a jazz musician, singer and songwriter, who came to prominence in 2017, after competing in the 17th season of the popular TV musical talent show – “America’s Got Talent”. What is special about Mandy is that she is completely deaf, losing her hearing when she was only 18 years old. However, this hasn’t stopped her from fulfilling her dreams, and so far she has released several albums, including her debut “Smile” back in 2009.
Have you ever wondered how rich Mandy Harvey is, as of early 2018? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Harvey’s net worth is as high as $1 million, an amount earned through her successful career, active since 2008.
Mandy spent her childhood in Colorado, and at an early age became interested in music; unfortunately, her hearing issues began also when she was a child, and had several surgical operations which could only postpone her complete hearing loss. However, Mandy used her talent, and once at Longmont High School, she started performing in talent shows, which earned her recognition and encouraged her to eventually continuing to pursue a professional music career. Following her high school matriculation in 2006, Mandy enrolled at Colorado State University where she studied music, and was close to a major in vocal music education, but unfortunately Mandy lost her hearing and dropped out from the University.
However, predestined for success, Mandy didn’t despair and started writing her own music and songs, and after meeting jazz pianist Mark Sloniker at Jay’s Bistro in Fort Collins, Mandy started performing on a regular basis. This led to other engagements, including playing at the Dazzle Jazz Lounge in Denver. Gradually Mandy became more popular, and in 2009 she released her debut album “Smile”, for which she received positive reviews. Taking large steps forward not letting her disability deny her, Mandy continued to record music, and in the next four years released the albums “After You’ve Gone”, and “All of Me”, the sales of which increased her net worth. In 2017 Mandy took a big step by appearing in the 12th season of the popular show “America’s Got Talent”, and in her first appearance stunned the public and judges with her voice, but also with her life story – Simon Cowell launched her to live shows – meantime she performed her own songs, such as “Try”, “This Time” and “Release Me”, which ultimately gave her fourth place in the series’ final.
Since appearing in the show, Mandy’s popularity has reached new heights, and she is now working on her next album, which will be her debut for a major record label.
Mandy’s net worth has also benefited from her book “Sensing the Rhythm: Finding My Voice in a World Without”, which she co-authored with Mark Atteberry.
When it comes to her personal life, Mandy is not alone in her fights, being supported by her husband, Travis. Unfortunately, there are no further details about her marriage or her other private affairs outside her professional career.
