Lorrie Morgan Wiki Biography
Loretta Lynn Morgan was born on the 27th June 1959, in Nashville, Tennessee USA, and is a country musician – singer and songwriter, probably best recognized for releasing such hits as “Trainwreck Of Emotion”, “What Part Of No”, “Five Minutes”, “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength”, among many others. She has also released 15 studio albums, during her career which has been active since 1972.
So, have you ever wondered how rich Lorrie Morgan is? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that the total size of Lorrie’s net worth is over $4 million, as of late 2016. This amount of money is coming from her successful involvement in the entertainment industry.
Lorrie Morgan was raised in her hometown, the daughter of the late George Morgan, who was known for being a country music singer as well. Under the influence of her father, she made her debut performance on the Grand Ole Opry when she was only 13 years old, and her career really began upon death of his father, when she took over his band as a 16-year-old girl. Thus, she began to perform with them at various local clubs. After two years, Lorrie disbanded the group, and in 1977 she became a member of the Little Roy Wiggins band. Her net worth was established.
Lorrie also began to work as a demo singer and songwriter at music publishing company Acuff-Rose Music, after which she became a vocalist on Nashville’s WSM-TV show (at the present time WSMV), which was hosted by Ralph Emery. In 1978, she released one minor hit single, and in the next year, she recorded the electronically dubbed duet “I’m Completely Satisfied With You” with her father who had passed away in 1975. Parallel with that, she performed at the local clubs alongside George Jones, as well as a member of the Opryland USA bluegrass show, increasing further her net worth.
1988 was crucial for Lorrie’s career, as she signed a contract with RCA records, and her debut studio album came out in the following year, under the title “Leave The Light On”, spawning hits like “Trainwreck Of Emotion” and “Five Minutes”, which became her first number one single on the US Country chart. Since then, her career has only gone upwards, as well as her net worth, as she released her second studio album “Something In Red” in 1991, which reached platinum certification.
Lorrie’s next album “Watch Me” was released through BNA Records, RCA’s newest label, contained the number-one single “What Part Of No”, and also reached platinum certification. Before the 2000s, she recorded several albums, such as “War Paint” (1994), “Shakin’ Things Up” (1997), and “My Heart”, among others, all of which added a considerable amount to her net worth.
The new millennium didn’t change too much for her, as she continued to line up success after success, releasing such albums as “To Get To You: Greatest Hits Collection” (2000), “Show Me How” (2004), “A Moment In Time” (2009). Most recently, she collaborated with Pam Tillis on the 2014 album “Dos Divas”, and in 2016 came out albums – “Letting Go…Slow”, and “A Picture Of Me – Greatest Hits & More”. Her net worth is certainly rising.
During her successful career, she has won numerous prestigious awards and recognitions, including the Female Vocalist of the Year award in 1994, 1996, 1997, and 1998.
Regarding her interesting personal life, Lorrie Morgan has been married six times – to Randy White since 2010. Previously, she was married to Ron Gaddis (1979-80), with whom she has a child, and Keith Whitley (1986-89), with whom she also has a child.
