Lisa Hartman was born on the 1st June 1956, in Houston, Texas USA, and is an actress and singer, perhaps still best known to the world as Cathy Greary in the soap opera “Knots Landing” (1982-1986), among many other differing roles. Her career started in 1976.
Have you ever wondered how rich Lisa Hartman Black is, as of early 2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Black’s net worth is over $5 million, earned through her successful career in the entertainment industry, both as an actress and singer.
Lisa is the daughter of country singer Howard Hartman and Hollywood PR agent Jonni Hartman. From an early age, Lisa was thrown into show business as she did commercials with John Wayne when she was a child. Before her screen debut, Lisa made stage appearances in such plays as “Cinderella” and “South Pacific”, portraying lead characters in both of them.
Her screen debut came in 1976, in an episode of the TV series “Police Woman”, while the following year she was selected for the role of Tabitha in the TV series “Tabitha Stevens” (1977-1978). In 1978 she had a starring role in the film “Just Tell Me You Love Me”, while also having several roles in the TV series “Fantasy Island” (1978-1981), and “The Love Boat” (1979-1981), not only increasing her net worth but also raising her popularity.
In 1982 she was selected for the role of Ciji Dunne, a singer, in the soap opera “Knots Landing”, however, her character was killed-off the following year. Nevertheless, fans voiced their displeasure and Lisa returned in the role of Cathy Geary, staying on the show until 1986, further increasing her net worth, and receiving a Soap Opera Digest Award in the category Outstanding Actress in a Supporting Role on a Prime-Time Soap Opera. During her stint on the show, Lisa remained active elsewhere and starred in the comedy film “Where the Boys Are” (1984) with Lorna Luft and Wendy Schaal. Until the end of the ‘80s, Lisa also appeared in a couple of made-for-television films, including the “Roses Are for the Rich” (1987), among others, all these appearances contributing to her net worth.
She started the ‘90s with several TV films, including “The Operation” (1990), which was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award, while in 1994 starring in the drama “Someone Else’s Child”, and had lead roles in several other films, including the “Dazzle” (1995), and Still Holding On: The Legend of Cadillac Jack” (1998).
In the new millennium, Lisa has featured in two films, “Back to You and Me” (2005), and “Flicka: Country Pride” (2012), which also improved her wealth.
In her career as a musician, some of Lisa’s most notable songs are “If Love Must Go”, and a duet with her husband Clint Black called “When I Said I Do”, which achieved a Grammy Award nomination.
She released five studio albums including “Lisa Hartman” (1976) her debut album, “Hold On” (1979), and “Till My Heart Stops” (1987), the sales of which improved her wealth too.
Regarding her personal life, Lisa has been married to musician Clint Black since 1991; the couple has one child together.
