Have you ever wondered how rich is Leon Robinson as of early 2016? According to sources, it is estimated that the overall size of Leon’s net worth is over $1.5 million. The main source of his wealth is his career in the entertainment industry as an actor, who has appeared in a number of movies and TV shows. Robinson has also written a number of songs for his band, which has added a lot to his overall fortune.
Leon Robinson was brought up in New York City, where he attended elementary and high school. In high school he was very active in sports, especially basketball, so he obtained a scholarship at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California. During his studies there, he was asked to act in one student movie, and so his acting career began. Later he became a student at Uta Hagan’s HB Studios in New York, but Robinson’s professional acting career began as early as 1982, when he was cast in an episode of the TV series “Afternoon Playhouse”, and was later cast in the film “All The Right Moves”, alongside Tom Cruise and Lea Thompson. Through the 1980s, Robinson appeared in various small roles in productions such as “The Flamingo Kid” (1984), “Band Of The Hand” (1986), and “Colors” (1988). In 1990, he was chosen to feature in Madonna’s video for the song “Like A Prayer”, and ever since that point, his career has gone only upwards, and so has his net worth. Robinson began to feature in high profile films and TV series, starting with his appearance in “Cliffhanger” (1993), with Sylvester Stallone, and Michael Rooker, and the same year he was cast in the film “Cool Runnings”, in the lead role, playing Derice Bannock.
A year later, Leon Robinson was cast as Shep in the film “Above The Rim” (1994), with Tupac Shakur and Duane Martin. The next role that increased his net worth was the role of Russell in the film “Waiting To Exhale” (1995), with Loretta Devine and Whitney Houston. Robinson didn’t have any major appearances until 2001, when he was cast as Lawrence Hill in the popular TV series “Resurrection Blvd” (2001). In 2005, he was featured in Jim Sheridan’s film “Get Rich Or Die Trying”, which also had 50 Cent and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as its stars. In 2009, he earned the role of Mike in the TV series “Diary Of A Single Mom” which lasted for two seasons, until 2011.
In recent years, Leon has been more focused on films, and has appeared in productions such as “And Then There Was You” (2013), “Against The Jab” (2015), “Where Children Play” (2015), and “I Really Hate My Ex” (2015). All these movies added to his overall net worth. His latest ventures in the entertainment industry include appearances in films such as “Hosanna” (2016), and “Soul Ties” (2016).
Side by side with his acting career, Leon Robinson is the lead vocalist of his own band called Leon And The Peoples, whose debut album is “The Road Less Traveled”, and was nominated for an International Reggae and World Music Award in 2007, with Robinson winning the Best International Artist at the Joe Higgs Reggae Awards. With the band one of his most popular singles is “Love Is A Beautiful Thing” from 2013. These nominations and awards have had a big influence on his net worth.
Speaking about his personal life, it is known in the media that Leon Robinson was in a relationship with the star of “The Real Housewives Of Atlanta”, Cynthia Bailey, with whom he has a daughter, with whom he spends his free time.
