Lauren Keyana Palmer Wiki Biography
Lauren Keyana Palmer was born on 26th August 1993, in Harvey, Illinois USA, and is an actress, songwriter, singer and television personality, the winner of NAACP Image, Chicago Film Critics Association and BET Awards, among other prestigious awards. Palmer has been active in the entertainment industry since 2002.
Is Keke Palmer rich? According to the latest estimations as of mid-2017, the overall amount of her net worth is as much as $9 million. It has been reported that aside from other revenues, Palmer earned $20,000 per episode of the television series “True Jackson, VP” (2008–2010).
Keke is the daughter of Larry and Sharon Palmer, and was raised with three siblings. Palmer debuted on the big screen having a role in the main cast of the comedy drama film “Barbershop 2: Back in Business” (2004) directed by Kevin Rodney Sullivan. Afterwards she starred in the television film “The Wool Cap” (2004) directed by Steven Schachter, with critics fascinated by the acting of the girl, and for her performance was nominated for three different awards, winning an NAACP Image Award for the Outstanding Actress in a Television Movie. This was followed by another successful lead role in the feature film directed by Doug Atchison, “Akeelah and the Bee” (2006), for which this time Keke won the Chicago Film Critics Association Award, two Black Movie Awards, Young Artist Award and NAACP Image Award. Other roles which attracted the attention of critics were landed in the thriller “Cleaner” (2007) directed by Renny Harlin, and in the comedy drama “The Longshots” (2008) directed by Fred Durst; Palmer was nominated respectively for the Young Artist Award for the Best Performance in a Feature Film and for a Black Reel Award for the Best Actress. In addition, she was nominated for BET Award for her role in “Joyful Noise” (2012) directed by Todd Graff and received two nominations for the Black Reel Award and NAACP Image Award for her appearance in the television film “CrazySexyTool: The TLC Story” (2014) directed by Charles Stone III. There is no doubt that all those appearances helped increase Keke’s fame and wealth considerably.
Moreover, Keke Palmer’s career on television has also been well evaluated by critics. She has won seven awards, including three NAACP Image and a BET Award for the lead role in the sitcom “True Jackson, VP” (2008 – 2011) created by Andy Gordon. Later, she was nominated for her continuing work in the animated television series “Winx Club” (2004–present). To add more, she has appeared in episodes of various television series, including “ER” (2005), “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” (2005), “90210” (2013), “Grey’s Anatomy” (2014) among other popular series. Currently, she appears in the main role of the horror comedy series “Scream Queens” which began airing in 2015. All these activities added significantly to Keke’s net worth.
Furthermore, she signed a contract with Atlantic Records in 2005, and concurrently pursued her career as a singer. Up to date she has released seven singles, a studio album, six music videos, two soundtracks, three mixtapes and EPs. Her studio album “So Uncool” (2007) reached 3rd place on the Heartseekers chart, and the soundtrack album “Joyful Noise” (2012) topped the independent and soundtrack album charts in the US. Her net worth has certainly benefited from these efforts, too.
In her personal life, Palmer is apparently still single, although having dated Rodney King and Quincy Brown in the past. She currently resides in Los Angeles, California.

- The music industry is something that I’m still trying to understand. With acting, I’ve been doing it for so long that I understand every aspect of it for the most part – there are obviously still more aspects that I need to learn – but I have a grasp on it. With music, I’m still learning. I’m still getting used to it.

When I’m acting, I feel like so in control and so centered. This is something that I solely get from acting and music. It’s like love itself.
