She’s implemented many initiatives over the course of her career, spanning various sectors such as health, literacy, and education. All of these achievements have ensured the position of her wealth.

At a young age, Laura was very interested in education and books. She attended Robert E. After her marriage to George W. Bush in 1977, the couple started campaigning for congress in 1978 – he would win the primary but lose in the general election. In 1981, her father-in-law George H. W. Bush was elected as vice president which then led to the couple getting national exposure. They travelled around various countries with the family, but soon Laura’s husband would be elected as Governor of Texas, making her the first lady of that state. She then started to work on various women’s and children’s causes, implementing numerous initiatives. She provided services to abused children and also advocated breast cancer and Alzheimer’s awareness. In 1999, her husband would campaign for presidency and would resign from his post as Governor to be inaugurated as the President in 2001.
