Kenya Moore Wiki Biography
Kenya Summer Moore was born on 24 January 1971, in Detroit, Michigan, and is an American film producer, television personality, model, author, as well as an actress, who rose to prominence in 1993 when she participated as Miss Michigan in the Miss US beauty pageant, which she won. Currently, she is perhaps best known as a cast member of the reality television series “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”, having joined the series for the fifth season in 2012, and has been present on the show ever since, and which attracts the attention of over three million viewers on average.
A well-known television personality as well as a model, how rich is Kenya Moore? According to authoritative sources, in 2013 she earned as much as $600,000 per season of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”, and added a sum of $100,000 for filming the program’s reunion show. However, in regards to her total wealth, Kenya Moore is apparently something of a spendthrift, and her current net worth is estimated to be just $300,000 –however, this may not include one of Moore’s most costly assets, her Bentley GTC car, for which she paid $225,000!
Kenya Moore was abandoned by her mother at birth, and raised by her grandmother. She studied at Cass Technical High School, and later enrolled at Wayne State University, from which she graduated with a degree in psychology in 1992. However, Moore had already begun a modeling career at 14 years of age, was even featured in an issue of “Ebony” magazine, and had an opportunity to work during a fashion event called “Ebony Fashion Fair”, which brought her even more public exposure. However, it was in 1993 through the Miss USA pageant that Moore had her big breakthrough. Since then, she has featured in a variety of popular shows, including “The Steve Harvey Show” with Steve Harvey, “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” starring Will Smith, and “The Jamie Foxx Show” among many others.
More recently, in 2013 Kenya starred in the film called “Dolls of Voodoo”, subsequent to her appearance in “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”, and she is scheduled to appear in an upcoming, season of the TV reality game show called “Celebrity Apprentice 7”.
As a producer, Moore worked on the “Haitian Nights” movie, and later established a production company called “Moore Vision Media”, through which she released the film entitled “The Confidant”.
In her personal life, Kenya hasn’t married, but was in a public relationship during “Millionaire Matchmaker” with James Freeman, who apparently married without telling her, and she then dated personal trainer Matt Jordan in 2016, which may rekindle according to the media.
