So just how rich is Kenya Bell as of late 2017? Authoritative sources estimate that Bell’s net worth is as high as $1 million. Her wealth is accumulated from her over a decade long career in the aforementioned areas of entertainment. In addition to that, Kenya is an engineer as well.
Bell graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, as well as an MBA, graduating with highest honors. Prior to pursuing her career in the entertainment field, Kenya worked as an engineer for General Motors. Bell appeared in ‘’E! True Hollywood Story’’, a television show focused on celebrities and their lives prior to fame. As a result of appearing in the previously mentioned show, Kenya ended up starring in another one, a few years later, but it received mediocre reviews. Her first modeling gig was a commercial for the Ford Motor Company, followed by appearances in commercials for Bally’s and Torrence’s House of Fashion. In 2001, she won the title of Miss Michigan USA, and went on to compete in Miss USA in the same year, reaching the semi-finals.
In 2012, she was approached by VH1 and asked to join a reality television show entitled ‘’Basketball Wives’’, which focused on the lives of six women, wives of big basketball stars and their struggles in business and other fields of life; it was watched regularly by the audience of 3.7 million viewers. Kenya made her first appearance in the fourth season of the show and starred alongside Tami Roman and Evelyn Lozada, among others. After a fight she had had with one of her co-stars, Bell released a song titled ‘’Hate Me’’, in which she called out her co-star for problematic behavior. Bell signed a contract with Bungalo Records in November 2012, and the music house released her music as of the same year. Bell ended up leaving ‘’Basketball Wives’’ in 2013, having appeared in a total of 20 episodes, then released another single entitled ‘’Fly’’, followed by ‘’Choices’’. Kenya’s music genres of choice are R&B, soul and pop; they have added to her net worth.
In her personal life, Kenya was married to Charlie Bell, a basketball superstar, but the couple divorced in 2012. She was the subject of a lot of drama when she had a fight with her ‘’Basketball Wives’’ cast mate, Evelyn Lozada, who physically assaulted Kenya, throwing a bottle of wine at her after Kenya confronted her for saying that she’s ‘’loose’’. Her divorce stirred a lot of drama when her ex-husband accused her of spending $110,000 of his money on plastic surgery. As of the more recent past, she announced her engagement to her long-time boyfriend on social media in 2015; the couple went on to get married in 2016, but she is yet to reveal his name..
