Kenneth Lawrence Fisher was born on 29 November 1950, in San Francisco, California USA, and is an investment analyst and businessman best known for founding Fisher Investments, a money management firm that handles high profile individuals and institutions. He’s also written numerous books regarding investing and is a regular contributor in a monthly column of Forbes Magazine. His passion for economy, investing and ecology has brought his net worth to where it is today.

Kenneth is the son of Phillip A. Fisher, an investor best known for his book “Common Stocks and Uncommon Profits”. He continues to study ecology and is considered an expert on 19th century logging, documenting around 35 abandoned mill sites in the northern Santa Cruz Mountains. He collected thousands of artifacts from the 19th century and even gave $3.5 million to endow the Kenneth L. Fisher Chair in Redwood Forest Ecology at Humboldt State, the first endowed chair dedicated to a single species. Fisher also contributes to the Redwoods and Climate Change, the San Mateo Public Library Foundation to establish the Kenneth and Sherrilyn Fisher Journalism Center, and John Hopkins University to establish Sherrilyn and Ken Fisher Center for Environmental Infectious Diseases.
