Kenneth Edward Olin was born on 30 July 1954, in Chicago, Illinois USA, of Jewish descent. Ken is a producer, director, and actor, possibly best known for being the star of the television series “Thirtysomething”. He was also the executive producer and director of the series “Brothers & Sisters” which ran from 2006 to 2011, but all of his efforts have helped put his net worth to where it is today.

How rich is Ken Olin? As of early-2017, sources inform us of a net worth that is at $4 million, mostly earned through a successful career on television. He is the producer and director of the series “This Is Us” currently airing, son as he continues his career, it is expected that his wealth will also continue to increase.

Ken’s father was a pharmaceutical company owner, and a former Peace Corps official. He grew up in Highland Park, Illinois, attending The Putney School. After matriculating he attended Pennsylvania State University, and completed an English Literature degree. He then furthered his studies at the University of Pennsylvania.

Ken started earning popularity when he was cast in the police drama “Hill Street Blues” from 1981 to 1987. He would slowly build his net worth, and then in 1987 he was cast in the series “Thirtysomething” as Michael Steadman, about baby boomers who were all now in their thirties. The series ran until 1991 and was eventually cancelled due to low ratings as well as the desire of the creators to move on to other projects. Seven years later, Ken was cast in “L.A. Doctors” as Dr. Roger Cattan, and would be part of the show for its year long run, before struggles in the ratings also led to its cancellation. He then became the lead of the short-lived “EZ-Streets”, and other television programs he has been a part of include “Falcon Crest”, “Murder, She Wrote” and “Alias”.

Olin has also appeared in several television movies including “A Stoning in Fulham County” and “Flight 90: Disaster on the Potomac”, adding steadily to his net worth.

In 1995, Ken was cast in the television film “Dead by Sunset” in which he played Bradly Morris Cunningham; the film was based on the novel of the same name, and he also became a part of “Queens Logic” and “’Til There Was You”. He was a producer and director of “Alias”, and would then foray into more directing work in shows such as “The West Wing”, “Judging Amy”, and “Freaks and Geeks”. He then worked on “Brothers & Sisters” which would win several awards over the course of its airing from 2006-11. Olin then co-starred in the pilot of “Americana”, before becoming the executive producer of the NBC show “This Is Us”. All of these opportunities would continue to build his net worth over the years.

For his personal life, it is known that Ken has been married to actress Patricia Wettig since 1982, who was his co-star in “Thirtysomething” and “Brothers & Sisters”. They have two children, and their daughter has already made an appearance, in “The City”.
