Katherine Elaine Hendrix Wiki Biography
Katherine Elaine Hendrix, born on the 28th of December 1970, is an American actress and former dancer, who became famous for her roles in the film “The Parent Trap” with Lindsay Lohan, “Inspector Gadget 2”, and “Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion”.
So how much is Hendrix’s net worth? As of 2017, based on authoritative sources, it is reported to be $2 million, acquired from her years working as an actress both in television and film which began in the early 1990s.
Born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Hendrix is the daughter of Thomas Hendrix, Jr. and Mary Elaine DePersio – of Irish, Italian, and Danish descent – and she also has two siblings, Stephanie Smith and David Maher.
When her parents divorced, Hendrix moved with her mother to Atlanta, Georgia, where she attended Northside School of Performing Arts and became trained in jazz and modern dance. During her senior year, she won a model search that led her to become a professional dancer, performing with the Gary Harrison Dance Co.
Hendrix’s early years as a model and dancer led her to land jobs with companies such as Mattel, Levi’s, Nike, and Sun Microsystems. She also worked with various hip-hop artists including MC Hammer, Whodini, and Keith Sweat. Her early years in show business helped set up her career and also started her net worth.
In 1992, months after moving to Los Angeles, Hendrix was forced to end her modelling and dancing career when she was hit by a car, so she shifted to acting in which she found more success.
After recovering from her injuries, Hendrix transitioned into acting and was cast in the television series “Get Smart”. Other television shows that she appeared in included “Friends”, “Ellen”, “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”, “User Friendly” and “Lez Be Friends”, all contributing steadily to her net worth.
In 1997, Hendrix played one of her most iconic roles when she appeared in the movie “The Parent Trap”, starring alongside Lindsay Lohan, Dennis Quaid, and Natasha Richardson. Her venture into film was followed with “Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion”, “Inspector Gadget 2”, “How the Bleep Do We Know”, and “Superstar”.
In the early 2000s, Hendrix went back to television and appeared in projects “Joan of Arcadia”, “Ghost Whisperer”, “Criminal Minds”, “Castle” and “The Middlemen” among others.
Today, Hendrix is still actively working as an actress, with recent appearances in the series “90210” and “Anger Management”. She also working in the web-series entitled “Fetching” and an FX comedy series entitled “Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll”. Her various work as an actress both in film and television also helped in increasing her income.
In terms of her personal life, Hendrix is single. She is very passionate about animals, and has worked with groups like Defense of Animals and Pets 90210. She also currently serves as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Animal Rescue Corps, a non-profit organization.
