Karin Victoria Silvstedt was born on 19 September 1974, in Skelleftehamn, Sweden, and is a model, singer, actress and television personality, but best known as one of the world’s most successful models.

Silvstedt grew up in a small village named Bollnäs in Northern Sweden, along with her two siblings. At the age of five she started alpine skiing, with her father being the captain of a local ski team. Unfortunately a shoulder injury ended her skiing career when she was 16.
