Have you ever wondered how rich Corin Nemec is, as of mid-2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Nemec’s net worth is as high as $1.5 million, an amount earned through his lengthy acting career. In addition, Nemec also works as a screenwriter and producer, which improves his wealth too.

Corin Nemec is a son of Joseph Charles Nemec III, a production and set designer, and a graphic artist mother. He grew up with his older sister, Anastacia C. Nemec, who is also working in the film industry, as an assistant director.

After watching the cult children’s movie “The Goonies” (1985), Nemec decided to become an actor, so he joined the Centre Stage LA theater company and signed to an agent soon after. Corin appeared in several Suzuki commercials before making his on-screen debut in an episode of the TV series “Sidekicks” in 1987. Nemec continued with appearances in six episodes of “Webster” (1987-1988) and in Francis Ford Coppola’s Oscar Award-nominated movie “Tucker: The Man and His Dream” (1988) starring Jeff Bridges, Joan Allen and Martin Landau, and ended the ‘80s in the Golden Globe Award-nominated mini-series “I Know My First Name Is Steven” (1989), for which Nemec received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination. His net worth was now established.

From 1990 to 1993, Corin played a lead role in series “Parker Lewis Can’t Lose”, while in 1994, he appeared alongside Gary Sinise, Molly Ringwald and Jamey Sheridan in a Primetime Emmy Award-winning mini-series “The Stand”. In the mid-90s, Nemec had parts in such movies as “Drop Zone” (1994) with Wesley Snipes, and “The War at Home” (1996) starring Emilio Estevez, Kathy Bates, and Martin Sheen. In 1997, Corin appeared in three episodes of a Golden Globe Award-nominated series “Beverly Hills, 90210”, but then he failed to get a decent role until 2002, playing Jonas Quinn in 26 episodes of “Stargate SG-1” to 2004, which helped Corin to significantly increase his net worth. By the end of the past decade, Nemec had parts in “Parzania” (2005), and in 12 episodes of the series called “Star-ving” in 2009.

In 2010, Corin played in four episodes of the Primetime Emmy Award-nominated “Supernatural”, while in 2014, he had a lead role in “Extinction: Patient Zero”. He is currently filming “Haunted: 333”, “Quantum Investigations: The Quantum Heist”, and “Girlfriend Killer”, all of which will be released late in 2017.

Regarding his personal life, Corin Nemec married Jami in 2002, but they divorced a few years later, after having two children. He listens to instrumental East Indian music and reads non-fiction. Nemec currently resides in Los Angeles, California.

Joseph Charles Nemec IV Quotes

  • Stargate by far is the top of the pile when it comes to Sci-Fi. The quality is great. They have really good writers, production design, lighting, wardrobe.
  • There were time when I was into method acting that I did have moments of residual character emotions, because the method bases your emotional responses as a character on emotional experiences from your real life.
  • I try to find what is closest to me in the character. There’s many sides to personality, but it’s a matter of, do you entertain those specific areas of your personality, or are you afraid to entertain them?
  • I’d just gotten into Los Angeles from Texas, where I live, and the phone rang and it was the guy calling about the Willie Nelson video. I was totally excited about it.
  • I’ve done a number of readings at poetry lounges in Vancouver and Los Angeles. I’ve compiled a book of poetry that’s completed, and two others I’m working on.
  • It has given me an insight into what it’s like as an actor to come into a show in the middle of a production and fit into a group that’s already established.
  • It’s all about creating a back story for the character and developing emotional responses that are true to life in relation to the character. It isn’t necessary to live a tragic life to create from that place.
  • I decided I’d never do a series again, but I was offered a pilot for a series through Eddie Murphy Productions, and that was the gig that got me Parker Lewis.
  • I got to do a whole slew of TV movies playing the bad guy, including an episode of Smallville. That would never have happened if I hadn’t done the Stand.
  • I did private study for about a month, five days a week, six hours a day. I came to understand the character in ways that I never would’ve previous to that. I was so innocent in respect to ways of creating characters.
  • I like good stories. Quality products and character are what’s important. Even if the script isn’t that strong, if I challenge myself with a great character, I’ll go for it.
  • I pitched a storyline, and as far as I know it’s been picked up. It’s for the third and final episode I’m contracted to do. But I can’t give any spoilers.
  • I had the benefit of experiencing a hundred times more than the average kid. I don’t look back with regret at all. It was the best life ever.
  • I have not thought too much about the psychology or life of the character Jonas in some time.
  • I very rarely get nervous as an actor. Very rarely.
  • In LA, too many people want to go the quickest route from A to B. Method acting offers them that.
  • It is a Modern day, and these times need Modern solutions to Modern problems.
  • It would be far to general a statement to try and describe the daily life of an actor in Hollywood, but I am quite certain that cappuccinos have something to do with it.
  • Emmanuel Lewis was amazing to work with. I’ll love that guy to the end of time.
  • Even though I was theatrically trained, learning to develop a character was an awesome experience.
  • Every role varies greatly, just as emotions vary greatly.
  • I can’t sing. Definitely no ambition in that area.
  • Never let life impede on your ability to manifest your dreams. Dig deeper into your dreams and deeper into yourself and believe that anything is possible, and make it happen.
  • I have my ethics and morals. I have my anchor point of what is right and wrong in real life, but I’m not afraid to entertain any and every aspect of personality in relationship to creating a character.
  • What motivates me in art is the ugly and beautiful nature of the truth. It has to be truthful and honest, even if it is ugly and grotesque.
  • Art is about expressing the true nature of the human spirit in whatever way one wishes to express it. If it is honest, it is beautiful. If it is not honest, it is obvious.
  • My favorite episode of Stargate? All of them! My favorite episode of Parker Lewis? All of them!
