Joscelyn Eve Stoker Wiki Biography
Joscelyn Eve Stoker was born on the 11th April 1987 in Dover, Kent, England, and is a singer, songwriter and actress who rose to prominence after her debut album “The Soul Sessions” (2003) was released, which was later certified multi–platinum. Joss Stone is the winner of eight awards including two BRIT and one Grammy among others. The singer has been active in the entertainment industry since 2001.
How much is the net worth of Joss Stone? It has been estimated by authoritative sources that the overall size of her wealth is as much as $15 million, as of the data presented in the middle of 2016. Music is the main source of Stone’s wealth.
Joss grew up in Dover, the third of four children in the family of Richard and Wendy Stokers. The girl suffered from dyslexia, and left school when she was 16 years old. In 2002, she flew to the USA for a meeting with the representatives of S-Curve Records in New York, meantime also signing a contract with BMG in the UK. Since then, she has sung with artists like Johnny Hallyday, Blondie, Carlos Santana, Sean Paul, Ricky Martin, Gladys Knight, Jessica Simpson, Angelique Kidjo and many others. Her talent was well recognised, and her net worth well established!
Stone has now sold over eleven million album copies worldwide, making her one of the most successful singers of this generation. Her third album, “Introducing Joss Stone” (2007) was produced by Raphael Saadiq, who is best known for his collaborations with Erykah Badu and Angie Stone, and includes titles such as “Tell Me ’bout It”, “Girl, You Will Not Believe It”, “Catch Me I’m Falling” among others. According to critics, this album to this day is the most successful of all, having been certified multi – platinum in a number of countries including USA, Canada and many European countries. The album was praised by critics. More, it has appeared on top ten across continental Europe, not to count the USA. Her fourth album,” Colour me Free!” was released in 2009, and this album was also successful, and unique as it included many duets with Nas, Jamie Hartman, David Sanborn, Jeff Beck and Sheila E. Her net worth was rising steadily.
In 2011, Joss Stone became a member of the new group formed by Mick Jagger entitled SuperHeavy – other band members were Dave Stewart, Damian Marley and A. R. Rahman; they recorded and released their self-titled debut album in 2011. Stone, as a solo artist, launched the sequel to this first album, “The Soul Sessions Vol. 2”, in 2012, and it reached sixth place in the ranking of English albums, and fourth on the Billboard 200.
Moreover, Joss has also performed as a guest star in film and on television. Stone made her debut in the fantasy adventure film “Eragon” in late 2006, and has also starred in the series “The Tudors”, “The Queen of England”, “Anne of Cleves” and others.
Stone is the youngest to receive a British artist Brit Award, as well as to have a number one album in the UK. Her talent has been recognized by the American and British record industry with various nominations, two Brit awards and a Grammy Award.
Finally, in the personal life of the singer, she has reputedly dated a number of celebrities, including Beau Dozier, Lemar, Raphael Saadiq and Danny Radford, but is still single.
