How rich is Jonathan Togo? As of mid-2017, sources estimate a net worth that is at $8 million, mostly earned through a successful career in acting. He’s appeared in various stage productions, and has also had several film projects. As he continues his career, it is expected that his wealth will also continue to increase.

Jonathan is the son of a former visual merchandiser, and a graphic artist. The family’s original family surname was Tonkaviev, but was changed by an ancestor to better advertise a carpet business.

Togo attended Rockland High School, and during his time there was a wrestler, but also participated in the “Project Contemporary Competitiveness, Advanced Study Program” (PCC ASP). After matriculating in 1995, he attended Vassar College where he would study theater. After graduation, he enrolled at the National Theater Institute of the Eugene O’Neill Theater, then formed a band called “The El Conquistadors”, with members who would eventually become a part of The Bravery.

Jonathan stared his career appearing in numerous plays, including “Our Country’s Good”. Togo then starred in the sci-fi series “Special Unit 2”, which focuses on a top secret Chicago police division handling mythological beings known as “Links”. He was eventually cast to become a part of “CSI: Miami” during its third season in 2004, and starring David Caruso; it is the first direct spin-off of “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” and has a very similar treatment. He also made a guest appearance in the CBS legal drama series “Judging Amy”, and had a small role in “Mystic River”.

Togo has produced web series too, including “My Best Friend Is My Penis” in 2008, directing and writing the show which became a part of Atom.com. He also starred in “Casted: The Continuing Chronicles of Derek Riffchyn, Greatest Casting Director in the World. Ever”, playing the role of the titular character, portrayed as a crass, sassy and somewhat abusive casting director. The web series also features Justin Long. Togo appeared during the third season of the show, however, it was eventually cancelled in 2015 after five seasons. Despite this, all of these opportunities have had a hand in increasing his net worth.

Jonathan Togo Quotes

  • The odds are so against you… They make like 50 pilots. Of the 50 there are parts for you in 20, and of those 20 there are 1000 guys auditioning for those 20 parts and 10 of them go to names, and of those pilots five go to air and one survives past the first year. So to get on a show as good and as successful as CSI: Miami, to be part of the franchise, is astonishing. I feel extremely lucky.
