Have you ever wondered how rich John Ross Bowie is, as of mid- 2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Bowie’s net worth is as high as $3 million, an amount earned through his successful career as an actor.
John went to Bayard Rustin High School, from which he matriculated in 1989, and then he enrolled at Ithaca College, from which he obtained a degree in English Language.
John’s career started in the ‘90s as a part of the comedy troupe Naked Babies, which led to a comedy sketch show “Upright Citizen”, which aired from 1999 until 2000. In 2000 he was the waiter in the comedy film “Road Trip”, while three years later he portrayed Walter ‘Wally’ Berman in the TV series “A.U.S.A”. The following year, he starred in the comedy “What the Bleep Do We Know!?”, as Elliot, and repeated the role in the sequel “What the Bleep!?: Down the Rabbit Hole” in 2006, which supported his net worth.
Although he appeared in numerous TV and film productions in the early and late 2000s, such as “CSI” and “CSI – NY”, altogether almost 30 differing series during the decade, plus over 15 films on the big screen, John just couldn’t make a breakthrough, and remained as an actor for relatively minor roles. From 2008 until 2011 he appeared in six episodes of the Primetime Emmy Award- winning TV comedy series “Children’s Hospital”, while from 2009 until 2016 he portrayed Barry Kripke in the sitcom “The Big Bang Theory”, starring Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons and Kaley Cuoco, which contributed steadily to his net worth.
Meantime, in 2012 he featured in the comedy film “Dealing”, then in 2013 he wrote and starred in the animated film “Dark Minions”, lending his voice to Mel. Most recently he was selected for the role of Jimmy DiMeo in the TV comedy series “Speechless” (2016-2017), which certainly increased his net worth to a large degree, as well as a guest role in “Death in Paradise”.
Regarding his personal life, John has been married to actress Jamie Denbo since 2004; the couple has two children together.
