John Caparulo was born on 22 September 1975, in East Liverpool, Ohio USA, and is a stand-up comedian, actor, and writer, best known for his appearances on various popular shows such as “Chelsea Lately” and “E!”. He’s performed stand-up in various locations in the United States and all of his endeavors have helped put his net worth to where it is today.

John attended East Liverpool High School and matriculated in 1993; he then went to Kent State and graduated in 1998. He went on to pursue a stand-up comedy career and started performing in night clubs, performing at several locations including Pittsburgh, Ohio, and Cleveland. Afterwards, he spent time working at the Comedy Store as a doorman, and also worked at a local golf course as a groundskeeper.

In 2003, he performed at the “Just for Laughs” festival, which led to him being offered an appearance on “The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn”. During this time he started to earn popularity under the nickname Cap. Afterwards, he appeared on “The Tonight Show” and began being featured in other shows such as “Blue Collar Comedy Tour: The Next Generation”. He also became part of “Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Comedy Tour”, and later hosted “Mobile Home Disaster”. All added to his net worth.

As an actor, he played the role of Brian in the sitcom “Work It” but it was short lived. In 2008, a Comedy Central special was aired, entitled “John Caparulo: Meet Cap” – a year later it was released on DVD and CD.

Aside from touring, John can be heard hosting “The Mad Cap Hour” radio show along with his wife and appears a lot on “Chelsea Lately”. He also regularly appears on “E!”, and became a part of “Fish Hooks”, voicing Headphone Joe. One of his latest projects was his 2013 album entitled “Come Inside Me”.

John has also begun working on monthly clips that can be viewed through his YouTube channel, CaparuloCaplets, through which he displays new content which is usually adapting current media trends to comedy. Aside from YouTube, he’s very active on social media, especially on Twitter which announces a lot of his projects – he has more than 56,000 followers on the site. He also has over 106,000 likes on Facebook which generally announces the same content as his Twitter.

For his personal life, it is known that he married Jamie Marie Kelly in 2012. He proposed to her during an episode of “Chelsea Lately”, and the couple now reside in Calabasas, California. They gave birth to their first child, a girl in 2015.
