Joey King Wiki Biography
Joey Lynn King was born on the 30th July 1999, in Los Angeles, California USA, of part-Jewish and part-Christian ancestry, and is an actress, best known for her starring role as Ramona Quimby in “Ramona and Beezus”, and she has also played in such movies as “The Conjuring”, “Wish I Was Here” and “Independence Day: Resurgence”. King’s career started in 2006.
Have you ever wondered how rich Joey King is, as of late 2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that King’s net worth is as high as $4 million, earned largely through her successful acting career. In addition to playing in movies, King also works in television series, which has improved her wealth too.
Joey King grew up in California with her two sisters Kelli and Hunter King; perhaps unsurprisingly there is no information on her schooling, as at the age of seven she debuted on-screen, and has hardly had a break since then. Her first appearance was in the Primetime Emmy Award-nominated series “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody” in 2006, while from 2006 to 2007, she played Sally Taylor in three episodes of the Primetime Emmy Award-nominated “Jericho”. In 2007, King appeared alongside Adam Sandler, Don Cheadle and Jada Pinkett Smith in “Reign Over Me”, while from 2007 to 2008, she played in two episodes of the Golden Globe Award-nominated series “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”. Joey ended the decade with “Quarantine” (2008) all contributing to her rising net worth.
Her quite impressive filmography has continued in this decade, with roles in “Ramona and Beezus” (2010) alongside Selena Gomez, for which she won Best Performance in a Feature Film – Leading Young Actress Ten and Under, then “Battle of Los Angeles” with Aaron Eckhart, Michelle Rodriguez and Bridget Moynahan, and in “Crazy, Stupid, Love” starring Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling and Julianne Moore, both in 2011. In 2012, King appeared in six episodes of “Bent”, while she also had a smaller role in the BAFTA-nominated movie “The Dark Knight Rises” with Christian Bale, Tom Hardy and Anne Hathaway. Joey was quite busy in 2013 as she played in “Oz the Great and Powerful” with James Franco, Michelle Williams and Rachel Weisz; “The Conjuring” starring Patrick Wilson, Vera Farmiga and Ron Livingston; and in “White House Down” alongside Channing Tatum, Jamie Foxx, and Maggie Gyllenhaal. In 2014, King had a part in “Wish I Was Here”, while from 2014 to 2015, she appeared as Greta Grimly in nine episodes of the Golden Globe Award-winning series “Fargo”, and also in 2015 was recognised at the Vancouver International Film Festival as an Emerging Actress for her performance in “Borealis”. All contributed steadily to her net worth.
Most recently, Joey worked in “Independence Day: Resurgence” (2016) alongside Liam Hemsworth, Jeff Goldblum and Bill Pullman and she also played in six episodes of “Tween Fest” (2016). At the moment, King is filming several movies, including “Going in Style” starring Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman and Alan Arkin, and in “Zeroville” with James Franco, Megan Fox, and Dave Franco, scheduled for release in late 2017.
Regarding her personal life, Joey King is just 18 and apparently hasn’t had much time for romantic associations just yet. Joey says that her favorite movie is “Finding Nemo”, while her favorite TV show is “Grey’s Anatomy”. She is still based with her parents in Los Angeles.
