Joe Perry Wiki Biography
Anthony Joseph Perry was born on 10 September 1950, in Lawrence, Massachusetts USA, of Portuguese (father) and Italian. (mother) descent. Joe is one of the most famous musicians, perhaps best known for being one of the members of the popular rock band called “Aerosmith”. In addition to this, Perry is also famous for his work as a solo artist. Together with the “Aerosmith” Joe has been nominated for and has won numerous awards. Some of them include, American Music Award, Grammy Award, Soul Train Music Award, MTV Video Music Award, and Teen Choice Award. What is more, Joe has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and also into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Although Perry is now 64 years old, he continues creating music and working with various artists.
If you consider how rich Joe Perry is, it can be said that Joe’s estimated net worth is $120 million. The main source of this sum of money is, of course, Joe’s work with “Aerosmith “. His activities as a solo artist have also added a lot to Perry’s net worth. What is more, Perry has collaborated with various other artists, and these collaborations also had an effect on Joe’s net worth.
Joe became interested in music when he saw the performance of one of the most famous band of all time, “The Beatles”. Soon afterwards he met Tom Hamilton, and together they formed the band called “The Jam Band”. Other members became Steven Tyler, Joey Kramer, Tom Hamilton, Joe Perry, Bradley Whitford, and its name was changed into “Aerosmith”. In 1973 they released their first self-titled album, and this had a huge impact on the growth of Perry’s net worth. In 1975 and 1976 they released some of their successful albums: “Toys in the Attic” and “Rocks”. Step by step the success of “Aerosmith” grew and they became more acclaimed in the music industry. Despite the success the band had, Joe had a conflict with Steven Tyler and decided to quit the band.
Soon after that, Perry formed another band called “Joe Perry Project”, and released several albums with this band. Unfortunately, this band did not reach the success of “Aerosmith”, so in 1984 Perry reunited with “Aerosmith”, and his net worth started growing again. Soon they released some of their most famous singles: “Crazy”, “Livin’ on the Edge”, “Rag Doll”, “What it Takes”, “Janie’s Got a Gun” and “Cryin”. The success of these hits made Perry’s net worth a lot higher. During their career, “Aerosmith” has released a total of 15 albums and they are now considered to be one of the best rock bands of all time.
As mentioned, Joe is also known for his solo activities. He has released three albums as a solo artist: “Joe Perry”, “Have Guitar, Will Travel” and “Joe Perry’s Merry Christmas”, which also added a lot to Perry’s net worth. There is no doubt that Perry is a very talented and active personality, whose name is now written in the history of rock bands.
If to talk about Joe’s personal life, it can be said that in 1975 he married Elyssa Jerret, and they have one child, but their marriage ended in divorce in 1982. Three years later in 1985, Perry married Billie Paulette Montgomery, with whom he lives up until now and they have two children. Joe also has a child from a previous relationship. All in all, Joe Perry is one of the best musicians of all time. As Perry still continues creating music, he has numerous fans all over the world who are waiting for his new projects.
