Joe Bonamassa Wiki Biography
Joe Bonamassa was born on the 8th May 1977 in New Hartford, New York, USA. He is a blues rock singer and musician, as well as songwriter, so music is the main source of Joe Bonamassa’s net worth. So far, he has released 15 solo albums, 11 of which have topped the Billboard Blues chart. Bonamassa has been active in the music industry since 1989.
How much is the net worth of Joe Bonamassa? It has been estimated that the wealth of the singer is as much as $20 million, accumulated during a career now spanning well over 25 years.
To begin with, Joe Bonamassa started playing guitar at the age of four years, and at seven he was apparently playing the blues like a professional; it is worth saying that his father was a professional guitarist. Being ten years old, Joe began gigging locally, and at twelve became the opening act for blues legend B.B. King. After that Joe became known in the world of blues, getting to play with Buddy Guy, Robert Cray, Danny Gatton, and Stephen Stills, among others. Still being an adolescent, Joe met Berry Oakley Jr. and together they formed the band called Bloodline. They recorded their eponymous debut album that featured two songs “Stone Cold Hearted” and “Dixie Peach”, but after this success, Bloodline disappeared. Joe felt the need to do more than play guitar, so he began improving his skills as a singer.
In 2000 Bonamassa began his solo career, which later added huge sums to the outright size of his net worth. Joe released his debut album as a solo artist, “A New Day Yesterday” (2000), which displayed all his vocal potential, and the skills did not go unnoticed by such artists as Gregg Allman, Rick Derringer and Leslie West. To celebrate the Year of the Blues 2003, Bonamassa released “Blues Deluxe” containing nine versions of classic blues with three originals, responding to fans who for years had been asking Joe for just such an album. His net worth grew accordingly!
Meanwhile, Joe became involved in a program called “Blues in the Schools” a program aimed at perpetuating the great legacy of this musical style. By reading, young students became involved in a journey that shows the evolution of blues music from the birth among workers in the Delta in the 1800’s, until the present day. The readings were accompanied by a performance by Bonamassa, and the following album entitled “Had To Cry Today” (2004) contained pieces of mixed original and classic blues.
In the summer of 2005, Bonamassa was personally requested by B.B. King to open the celebration of his 80th birthday. A few months later (January, 2006), Bonamassa was nominated as the youngest member of The Blues Foundation. One of his latest albums, “You and Me” (2006), is known for the collaboration of the artist with producer Kevin Shirley. Afterwards, he released the studio albums “Sloe Gin” (2007), “The Ballad of John Henry” (2009), “Black Rock” (2010), “Dust Bowl” (2011), “Driving Towards the Daylight” (2012) and “Different Shades of Blue” (2014) which have also added sums to his wealth as well as increased his popularity.
Finally, in the personal life of the singer, he is single and has no children. No close relationships have been presented in public.
