Jenni “JWoww” Farley Wiki Biography
Jennifer Lynn “Jenni” Farley was born on 27 February 1986, in Franklin Square, New York State USA, of Irish and Spanish ancestry, and better known as simply JWoww, is an actress as well as a television personality. To the wider public, audience, JWoww is perhaps best known as a cast member of the popular reality television series called “Jersey Shore”.
So just how rich is JWoww, as of late 2017? According to sources, JWoww’s net worth is estimated to be over $4 million, accumulated from her career in the entertainment industry, which actually began less than 10 years ago.
Jennifer Farley was educated at Columbia High School in East Greemwich, and later attended the New York Institute of Technology. Prior to her big break on television screens, Farley initially worked as a nanny, but was also a graphic designer, and even had her own company called “Jenni Farley Designs”.
When she joined “Jersey Shore”, Farley adopted the name of “JWoww”; she was one of the eight people, among whom were Paul DelVeccino, Nicole Polizzi and Michael Sorrentino, who got to spend their summer in a house in Jersey Shore. The show was first put to air in 2009, and ran for six seasons until 2012. During its run, “Jersey Shore” met with a lot of controversy and negative feedback from the audience, yet as time went on, it managed to significantly increase the ratings for the MTV network, and actually became one of the most viewed series ever on the network. Soon it became so popular around the world, which resulted in the creation of several spin-off series, the most notable being “Geordie Shore” and “The Valleys”, both in the UK. In addition, it inspired the release of “Jersey Shore Soundtrack”, which features such artists as Enrique Iglesias, Lil Jon, Fergie, David Guetta and others. Not surprisingly, the cast of the “Jersey Shore” became famous in the US and abroad, and were even featured on the list of “Barbara Walters’ 10 Most Fascinating People”. JWoww’s net worth benefited significantly from her part in the series, also from her subsequent book entitled “The Rules According to JWOWW: Shore-Tested Secrets On Landing A Mint Guy, Staying Fresh To Death, and Kicking the Competition to the Curb”.
During the filming for “Jersey Shore”, Farley went on to explore other business ventures, and in 2010 presented her own clothing line entitled “Filthy Couture”, in Las Vegas. However, it was announced in 2012 that MTV would air two “Jersey Shore” spin-off series, namely “The Pauly D Project” with Pauly D, and “Snooki & JWoww” with Farley and Nicole Polizzi. The latter show first aired in 2012 and produced three seasons and a total of 37 episodes. Often compared to the legendary sitcom “Laverne & Shirley”, “Snooki & JWoww” managed to attract a large viewership, with an average of two million viewers during seasons 1 and 2.
In addition to having her own television series, JWoww together with Snooki was a host on the “MTV Club’s New Year’s Eve” in 2013, having prior to that launched her own website. Considered to be among the “Sexiest 100 Ladies of the 21st Century”, JWoww also made appearances in the soap opera series “One Life to Live” with Corbin Bleu and Josh Kelly, as well as in a reality series called “Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars”.
In 2015, JWoww actually won the seventh season of “Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition” – perhaps not too difficult a project? She also debuted on film, in the indie production “The Mint”, playing the girlfriend of a record executive, and was also the executive producer.
In her less-than-private personal life, JWoww has been married to Roger Mathews since October 2015, having been ‘an item’ since 2012. They now have a daughter and a son. The family reside in New York City, where she is a strong supporter of gay rights, and the LGBT community.
