Jason S. Campbell Wiki Biography

Jason S. Campbell was born on 31 December 1981, in Laurel, Mississippi USA, and is a former American Football player for the Washington Redskins, Oakland Raiders, Chicago Bears, Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals in the National Football League(NFL).

So just how rich is Jason Campbell now? Sources state that Campbell’s net worth reaches over $3 million, as of late 2016, accumulated largely during his active football career from 2005-14.

Campbell attended Taylorsville High School in Taylorsville, Mississippi, and after matriculation in 2000, he enrolled at Alabama’s Auburn University, graduating with a degree in public administration. While at college, he played for the Auburn Tigers football team, leading them to an undefeated season in his senior year, being named the SEC Player of the Year and MVP of the SEC Championship Game. The same year he set ta Tiger’s record for the longest touchdown completion in their history with an 87-yard pass to Silas Daniels.

Campbell was selected in the first round as the 25th overall pick by the Washington Redskins in the 2005 NFL Draft, and was signed to a $7.5 million deal, significantly adding to his net worth. After being benched for his entire rookie season, he began as a starting quarterback in 2006, his first victory 17–13 over the Carolina Panthers that year, but after suffering a ligament injury in late 2007, and Campbell was out of game for the remainder of the season. Although he started in all 16 games in both 2008 and 2009 season, the Redskins’ statistics worsened, with the latter season being the worst one in the team’s history.

After five seasons with the Redskins, Campbell was traded to the Oakland Raiders in 2010, signing a one-year, $3.1 million contract, followed by a one-year contract extension of $4.6 million through the 2011 season, which considerably improved his wealth. He was the Raiders’ starter in 2010 and 2011, with a passer rating of over 84.0 in both seasons, however, after suffering a collarbone injury in 2011, Campbell was out of game for the remainder of the season.

The following year, he signed a one-year, $3.5 million deal with the Chicago Bears, as a backup quarterback to Jay Cutler, replacing Cutler in two games, however, without contributing much to the game.

In 2013, he joined the Cleveland Browns, signing a two-year $3.7 million deal with the team, going 1-7 in eight starts and posting a passer rating of 76.9 with 11 touchdowns and eight interceptions. This, unfortunately, was the last meaningful action of Campbell’s career in the NFL, as in early 2014 he was released by the Browns, signing a one-year, $1.5 million deal with the Cincinnati Bengals shortly after, as backup to Andy Dalton, but after playing regularly in the preseason, Campbell later played in only four games for the team, with not quite impressive performances.

In 2015, the player stated that he planned to retire, and turned down offers from several teams.

During his ten-year career as a quarterback in five NFL teams, Campbell threw for 16,771 yards with 87 touchdowns and 60 interceptions, with a QB rating of 81.8. This enabled him to establish a decent popularity in the world of American football, and to earn a considerable net worth.

When it comes to his private life, Campbell was engaged to Jenny Montes in 2012, however, the couple called-off the wedding just a few hours before it was set to take place. As the player is quite secretive about his off-field life, sources are unaware of his current relationship status.
