James Thomas “Jimmy” Fallon Wiki Biography
James Thomas “Jimmy” Fallon was born on 19 September 1974, in Brooklyn, New York USA, of Norwegian (mother) and Irish and German (father) descent. He is a comedian, actor, singer, musician, and even a producer, but is perhaps best known as the host of the late-night TV program “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”.
So just how rich is Jimmy Fallon? Sources estimate that Jimmy’s net worth is now over $45 million, accumulated during his career in the entertainment industry which began n the mid-90s.
After Jimmy Fallon graduated from school, he was encouraged by his (apparently very loving) mother to try out the open mic night, as he had become interested in stand-up comedy from listening to radio shows and watching it on TV. Jimmy dropped-out of The College of Saint Rose to concentrate on a career in the entertainment industry, and it is safe to say, that his career as an amateur comedian was fully launched when he performed in “Bananas in Poughkeepsie” club, located in New York. He then pursued his career further, and moved to Los Angeles, joining the improvisation humor group called The Groundlings. There he began to work on the stand-up routine which made him famous. This also helped him to pass an audition for his favorite show of all time – “Saturday Night Live”. This show eventually helped Jimmy to obtain an enormous fortune of $11 million dollars, which he later tripled in life. He was a permanent cast member of Saturday Night Live from 1998 until the season of 2004.
After Jimmy Fallon left SNL, he then moved on to making movies. As an actor, Jimmy Fallon starred in such movies as “Factory Girl” along with Sienna Miller and Guy Pearce, “Whip it” along with Ellen Page and Kristen Wiig, “Taxi”, and “Fever Pitch” together with Drew Barrymore. These all contributed to Jimmy’s net worth.
After several years making movies, became the host of the television show called “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” in 2009, and which lasted five years. The success of Fallon was built around his relaxed and friendly style of humour, rather than critical and aggressive, which charaterises other, similar shows. For example, Jimmy’s dog is named Gary Fick, and he often appeared on Jimmy’s show. Jimmy also made an interesting public stunt, by participating in Dr. Oz’s Show in an episodes during which Jimmy had a mole on his left hand removed in front of Dr. Oz’s audience in studio, performed by a very well-known plastic surgeon Dr. Arthur Perry. These public stunts are only a few reasons why Jimmy has succeeded in making his net worth millions of dollars.
Jimmy has also released his comedy album called “The Bathroom Wall” which was one of the nominees for Grammy in 2003 in the Best Spoken Comedy Album category. No wonder why Jimmy’s net worth is so impressive.
Most recently, as of early 2014 Jimmy Fallon has taken over from the retired Jay Leno in hosting “The Tonight Show”, which is apparently just as popular as previously, and id sure to add to Jimmy’s net worth.
Speaking about his personal life, Jimmy dated various celebrities in the past, such as Tara Subkoff and Winona Ryder, but married production company owner Nancy Juvonen in 2007, and they have two daughters through surrogacy.

James Thomas “Jimmy” Fallon Quotes
- Time slot doesn’t matter to me. If people want to see you, they’ll find you.
- ‘Have fun’ is my message. Be silly. You’re allowed to be silly. There’s nothing wrong with it.
- [on preparing to meet the audience] I’m behind the curtain waiting to go on. And there’s a spotlight shining through the curtain from the other side. They’re announcing my name. And I think, This is going to be awful. And then the curtain opens and you walk toward the light, which is so like death is supposed to be it’s weird. And then it’s fun, and then you play.
- I like to see people laugh who are normally serious. Everyone looks so much better when they smile.
- I was never really serious with one team. I was into the Mets because my Dad worked at IBM where he got free Mets tickets, so I was into the Mets … then I got to Saturday Night Live (1975) where my boss has unbelievable N.Y. Yankees tickets, so he invites us to the games. I’m going to all the games, so I might as well root for the team I’m gonna go sit with. I became a Yankees fan for a few years. But now, I gotta say, I’m really rooting for the Red Sox.
