James Fay Wiki Biography
James Fay, better known as Bobo, was born on 16 April 1961, in Manhattan Beach, California USA. He is a television personality, best known for starring in the Animal Planet reality television series “Finding Bigfoot”.
A passionate Bigfoot expert, how rich is Bobo now? According to sources, Bobo has collected wealth of over $400,000, as of early 2017. His net worth has been earned mostly through his involvement in the “Finding Bigfoot” show, as well as through his commercial fishing business.
Bobo grew up in Manhattan Beach, and in his teenage years became a skilled surfer, embarking on surf trips along the entire West Coast. He attended Humboldt State University in Arcata, California.
His passion for the Bigfoot mystery started at an early age. During his surfing days, he would often wander into Bigfoot areas, hoping to see one from the beach. He eventually became a roadie for the band Sublime, traveling and touring with them all around the country, meantime collecting reports and learning everything he could about these creatures and their way of living. Even when it came to school, he searched for a college that had Bigfoot sightings near, and he would spend much time in the woods hoping to locate them.
Bobo’s passion for Sasquatches only grew with time. After college, he took various jobs such as logging with Native Americans, building roads, and commercial fishing in Northern California, all done in order to learn about the Bigfoot legend and hoping to see his favorite creature; eventually he did. In 2001 Bobo spotted his first Bigfoot. It was during an investigation with former Bigfoot researcher John Freitas. Some of the local Native Americans had seenthe same Sasquatch before and after Bobo did, naming him ‘the Big Guy’. Bobo claims to have glimpsed Bigfoots several more times after that.
His passion for Sasquatches has brought Bobo into the television industry. In 2007 he appeared in the documentary “Operation Nightscream 2003”, being part of the investigation crew searching for Bigfoots in the Pacific Northwest. Then in 2011 he was cast in the Animal Planet documentary television series “Finding Bigfoot”, as a member of a team of researchers and explorers investigating potential evidence of Bigfoot in the wildernesses around the USA and Canada. Aside from Bobo, the team includes the founder and president of the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization, Matt Moneymaker, the Bigfoot field researcher and established jazz guitarist Cliff Barackman, and Ranae Holland, a Field Biologist who actually does not believe in Bigfoots. The show has become extremely popular, collecting high ratings from viewers. It is now in its ninth season and Bobo has appeared in every season since the show’s beginning. The series has served as a great way for Bobo to share his knowledge and passion for Bigfoots with a worldwide audience, collecting a high level of popularity and a decent following. Aside from increasing his popularity as a Bigfoot admirer and expert, the show has also enabled Bobo to add to his net worth.
In addition to “Finding Bigfoot”, Bobo has appeared as a Bigfoot researcher in other television projects as well, such as in the documentary series “Monsterquest”, comedy TV series “The Soup” as well as in the short documentary “American Bigfoot”. All have contributed to his net worth. Apart from his Bigfoot researches, he works as a commercial fisherman, which has been another source of his wealth.
Speaking about his personal life, Bobo has been quite secretive about it. As he tends to keep his off-camera life away from public view, sources don’t have any details whether he has been married or not, or any other aspects of his private sphere.
