James Thomas Denton Jr. was born on the 20th January 1963, in Nashville, Tennessee USA, and is a television and film actor, best known for his role as Mike Delfino on the TV series “Desperate Housewives” (2004-2012). James also played in “The Pretender” (1997-2000) and in the movie “Face/Off” (1997). His career started in 1993.

Have you ever wondered how rich James Denton is, as of early 2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Denton’s net worth is as high as $7 million, an amount earned largely through his successful acting career.

James Denton was born the second of three children of Mary Jean Woolslair and J.T. Denton, and was raised in Tennessee where he went to Goodlettsville High School, and later studied at the University of Tennessee, where he majored in television/journalism, with a degree in Advertising.

Denton started acting at a community theatre in Nashville, while his first on-screen credit came in “Thieves Quartet’ in 1993. From 1997 to 2000, he played Mr. Lyle in 36 episodes of a Primetime Emmy Award-nominated series “The Pretender”, while he also appeared in “That Old Feeling” (1997) alongside Bette Midler, Dennis Farina, and Paula Marshall. Denton ended the ’90s with roles in John Woo’s Oscar Award-nominated “Face/Off” (1997) starring John Travolta and Nicolas Cage, and in Mike Nichols’ Oscar Award-nominated “Primary Colors” (1998) with John Travolta, Emma Thompson, and Kathy Bates. His net worth was well established.

In the early 2000s, James appeared in “The Pretender: Island of the Haunted” (2001), and between 2001 and 2002, he played in 13 episodes of “Philly”. From 2004 to 2012, Denton portrayed Mike Delfino in 180 episodes of a Golden Globe Award-winning series “Desperate Housewives”, and that major role and particularly longevity helped him to increase his net worth significantly. Most recently, Denton played in “For Love and Honor” (2016) and in the series “Devious Maids” (2016), while at the moment, Denton stars in “Good Witch” (2015- ), increasing further his net worth.
