Jacques Webster, Jr Wiki Biography
Born Jacques Webster, Jr. on the 30th April 1992, in Houston, Texas USA, he is a rapper, record producer and songwriter best known to the world under stage name Travis Scott, who came to prominence after releasing the hit single “Antidote” in 2015, featured on his debut studio album “Rodeo”. Since then, he has collaborated with a number of successful musicians, including Rihanna, and Kanye West.
Have you ever wondered how rich Travis Scott is, as of late 2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Scott’s net worth is as high as $8 million, an amount earned through his successful career in the world of entertainment, active since 2008.
Travis grew up in southwest border of Houston, in Missouri City. He spent his early childhood with his grandmother, and then moved in with his father. He went to Elkins High School, and after matriculation enrolled at the University of Texas at San Antonio, however, he never graduated, as he decided to focus entirely on his career in the music industry.
Even while in high school, Travis was sure that he would become a famous musician; he initially teamed up with his friend Chris Holloway to start a music duo, The Graduates, and released an EP on Myspace in 2008, while in 2009 Travis started a joint venture with OG Chess, the group The Classmates. The two worked together until 2012 when financial disputes arose and they went their separate ways. Travis relocated to Washington, New York, but wasn’t quite satisfied with chances he got there, and soon after set his foot in Los Angeles, California. He got in touch with T.I., and in 2013 Travis was the producer of T.I.’s single “Upper Echelon”. The same year, Travis started working with Kanye West on Travis’s debut full-length release, the mixtape “Owl Pharaoh”, but it reached an obstacle and it was later picked up by T.I. His mixtape came out in May 2013, released through Grand Hustle Records, owned by T.I., which launched Travis into stardom and he continued working on his new material. He released his second mixtape in August 2014, entitled “Days Before Rodeo”, which was a prelude to his debut full-length album “Rodeo”, released in September 2015 through Epic Records, which became a massive hit as it peaked at No. 3 on the US Billboard 200 chart, and topped the US Rap chart, achieving platinum status, which only increased Scott’s net worth to a large degree. Encouraged by this enormous success, Travis immediately started working on his second full-length album = “Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight” – which came out in September 2016. The album topped the US Billboard 200, US R&B/HH and US Rap charts, while it also achieved platinum status, further increasing his net worth.
Most recently, Travis launched his own record label Cactus Jack, through which he will release a collaborative album with fellow rapper Quavo, entitled “Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho”, scheduled for December 2017. Furthermore, he is working on his third studio album “AstroWorld”, which will be available in 2018.
Regarding his personal life, Travis is in a relationship with reality TV star Kylie Jenner, with whom he expects a child.
