Horatio Sanz was born on the 4th June 1969, in Santiago, Chile and is now an American comedian and actor, best known for his various roles in the “Saturday Night Live” from 1998–2006, and also from appearing in numerous films and series, such as the “Boat Trip” (2002).

Horatio Sanz was born as the youngest of three sons of Carlos and Sylvia Sanz, and grew up on the West Side of Chicago, Illinois. He started performing in Chicago theaters such as The Court Theater and The Second City before getting his first movie role in the family fantasy film called “Miracle on 34th Street” (1994) starring Richard Attenborough, Elizabeth Perkins and Dylan McDermott.

He appeared in three episodes of a comedy series “Upright Citizens Brigade” from 1998 to 2000, while from 1998 to 2007, Sanz appeared in 159 episodes of the Primetime Emmy Award-winning show “Saturday Night Live”, playing various characters in the show, including Elton John, Rosie O’Donnell, Billy Joel, Sammo Hung, and Matt LeBlanc. These appearances helped Sanz to increase his net worth significantly, thanks to the popularity of SNL in the US.

In the early 2000s, Horatio played in several teenage comedy films such as the “Road Trip” (2000) alongside Breckin Meyer, Seann William Scott and Amy Smart; the movie surprisingly earned around $120 million worldwide, helping Sanz to improve his wealth additionally. He had a minor role as a dance instructor in the comedy “The New Guy’ (2002) with DJ Qualls, and the same year starred as Nick Ragoni alongside Cuba Gooding Jr. in the “Boat Trip”, a story about two straight guys who accidentally end up on a “gays only” cruise. Horatio continued with parts in “School for Scoundrels” (2006) starring Billy Bob Thornton and Jon Heder, and in the drama called “Lucky You” (2007) with Eric Bana, Drew Barrymore, and Robert Duvall.

In 2010, Sanz played the character of Glenn Cordoba in ten episodes of the series “Big Lake”, and then appeared alongside Kirsten Dunst, Isla Fisher, and Lizzy Caplan in the “Bachelorette” (2012). From 2011 to 2015, he portrayed Espanto in nine episodes of the comedy series the “UCB Comedy Originals”, while from 2013 to 2016, Horatio worked in the talk show parody called “Comedy Bang! Bang!”

Most recently, Sanz played Luis in Matt Cooper’s comedy “Is That a Gun in Your Pocket?” (2016), and in James Franco’s drama “Actors Anonymous” (2017), a story that explores the lives of young actors in Hollywood. At the moment, Horatio is working in the “Great News” (2017), portraying Justin, and in the movie “Zeroville”, in which he plays Francis Ford Coppola, alongside James Franco, Megan Fox, Will Ferrell and Seth Rogen.
