Heather Ann Mills was born on the 12th January 1968 in Aldershot, Hampshire England, and is a former model, the ex-wife of former Beatle member Sir Paul McCartney, and activist for different social causes. She has led different campaigns to help patients with sexually transmitted diseases, and for the defence of land affected by mining and defence of animal rights. She is also vegan and patron of organizations like Vegetarian & Vegan Foundation and Viva, as well as a Goodwill Ambassador of the United Nations.

How much is the net worth of Heather Mills? It has been estimated by authoritative sources that the overall size of her wealth is as much as $50 million, as of the data presented in the middle of 2016. The main sources of Mills net worth are modelling as well as her divorce settlement.

To begin with, she is the daughter of John Mills and Beatrice Mary Finlay. A few months after the birth of Heather, the family moved to Washington, but it was not long before her parents decided to separate. Beatrice Mills left the home when Heather was nine, leaving all the children under the care of the father. Years later Mills was sentenced to jail after being convicted of fraud. After so many problems Heather decided to run away from home and did not reconcile with her mother until 1989.

After applying for several jobs, Heather began a modelling career in 1988. During her career Mills has starred in different types of photos, including some for a pornographic magazine published in the UK. In the summer of 1993, Mills was injured in an accident while crossing the street, resulting in the amputation of her left leg below the knee. This did not prevent her modelling, using prosthesis. According to more recent media reports, Mills not only continued her career in modelling but since 2010 she has been training for skiing in Carinthia for participation at the Winter Paralympics in 2014. In the spring of 2011, she crashed during training on the Mölltal Glacier and broke her right shoulder blade. In 2012, she won the Super-G race at Innerkrems. Her next sporting goal she sees as the Winter Paralympics 2018 in South Korea and has trained for this purpose. Mills has reached a speed of 166 kilometres per hour on skis.

Finally, in the personal life of Heather Mills, she was married to Alfie Karmal (1989-91) but her infidelities caused considerable problems in the relationship. Mills met Paul McCartney during a charity event in 1999 in which she presented the Heather Mills Trust, the fund that aims to provide prosthetic treatments to people in need. When McCartney met her, they fell in love and soon after he gave her a diamond and sapphire ring bought in India. Paul and Heather married on the 11th June, 2002 (four years after the death of the musician’s first wife, Linda McCartney, who died due to breast cancer). The couple had a daughter, Beatrice Milly McCartney Mills who was born in 2003. Mills and McCartney officially divorced in 2008.

Mills’ life has been riddled with instances of systematic lying, or embellishing the truth, including during various court cases, which have not endeared her to the British public in particular, especially in comparison to the regard in which Sir Paul McCartney is held.
