Some background facts about Harry Hamlin: he was born to the socialite Berniece Robinson and the aeronautical engineer Chauncey Jerome Hamlin. As a high school student he was educated at Flintridge Preparatory School and The Hill School. Hamlin studied at University of California, but graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Drama and Psychology from Yale University. Harry Hamlin came to notice when he was nominated for the Golden Globe Award as the New Star of the Year–Actor for his role of Joey Popchik in Stanley Donen’s film “Movie Movie” (1978), which was landed soon after his debut on the big screen. However, the biggest breakthrough is considered to be his role of Perseus in the fantasy adventure film “Clash of the Titans” (1981) directed by Desmond Davis.
