Harold’s career started in the mid- ‘80s.

According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Perrineau’s net worth is as high as $7 million, earned through his successful career in the entertainment industry, during which he has appeared in over 80 film and TV roles, and won several awards, including the SAG award for the TV series “Lost”.

Harold is the son of Harold Williams and Sylvia Perrineau, although they never married. In the beginning Harold’s last name was Perrineau, but when he turned seven it was changed to Williams. However, Harold himself changed the name back to Perrineau after discovering that there was already is a person in the Screen Actors Guild Union named Harold Williams.

After he finished high school, Harold enrolled at Shenandoah Conservatory where he studied music and theater, but never actually graduated. Instead he started pursuing his acting career, and got his first role in the TV series “Fame” in 1986. Two years later he appeared in the action film “Shakedown”, starring Peter Weller, Sam Elliott and Richard Brooks, while in 1990 he had a small role in the thriller “King of New York”, with Christopher Walken and Laurence Fishburne as leads. In 1991 he was selected for the role of Robert Evans in the TV series “I‘ll Fly Away” (1991-1993), and then in 1995 featured in the comedy “Smoke”, starring Harvey Keitel and William Hurt. These contributed steadily to his net worth.

However, Harold made his breakout in the Academy Award- nominated film “Romeo + Juliet” in 1996 as Mercutio, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes, and the same year appeared in the thriller “Blood and Wine”. By the end of the ‘90s, Harold had also appeared in the drama “Lulu on the Bridge” (1998), and comedy “The Best Man” (1999), which only increased his net worth, while in 1997 he started portraying Augustus Hill in the Primetime Emmy Award- nominated TV series “Oz” (1997-2003). He started the new millennium with a supporting role in the romantic comedy “Woman on Top”, starring Penelope Cruz, and in 2001 had the lead role in the drama “A Day in Black and White”, then in 2002 starred next to Josh Hamilton and Isabel Gillies in “On_Line”. The following year, Harold secured the role of Link in the action sci-fi film “The Matrix Reloaded”, with Keanu Reeves in the lead role, repeated in the sequel “Matrix 3” (2003). His next important role was as Michael Dawson in “Lost” (2004-2010), raising his net worth considerably, while concurrently in 2007 he had a supporting role in the horror “28 Weeks Later”, with Jeremy Renner and Robert Carlyle.

In 2012 he appeared in the Academy Award- winning historical thriller “Zero Dark Thirty”, with such stars as Jessica Chastain, Chris Pratt and Joel Edgerton in the lead roles, while most recently he portrayed Judge Keller in the TV series “Goliath” (2016). Furthermore, he has several projects in the process of making, including the films “Stephanie”, “Without Ward”, and “I’m Not Here”, all which are scheduled for a release later this year, adding to his net worth..

Regarding his personal life, Harold has been married to actress and model Brittany Perrineau since 2002; the couple has three children.
