At a young age, Haley moved to Stow, Ohio and was educated at Stow-Munroe Falls High School. Later on, her family moved to Naples, Florida.
Bennett made her film debut in the romantic comedy “Music and Lyrics”, starring Drew Barrymore and Hugh Grant”, plus recording several songs for the soundtrack of the film, including “Way Back into Love” and “Buddha’s Delight”, and is also heard singing other songs in many parts of the film – her song “Invincible” was part of the film’s end credits. She then signed with 550 Music/NuSound Records which is part of Epic Records, which led her to work on her debut album while she also started performing in live concerts. She then signed a deal with Warner Bros., which led to the films “College” and the horror film “The Haunting of Molly Hartley”, which was a critical failure despite a bit of commercial success. She made a cameo appearance in the film “Marley & Me”, then in 2009 became a part of the short film “Passage” alongside Julia Stiles, afterwards co-starring in the thriller “The Hole” which was directed by Joe Dante. In 2010, she became a part of “Arcadia Lost” and “Kaboom” which is a science fiction film also starring Juno Temple. Her net worth was rising steadily.
Haley’s next big project would be the thriller “Kristy”, in which she starred alongside Ashley Greene, and was then cast in the indie film “Lost in the White City”. In 2014, she co-starred with Denzel Washington in “The Equalizer” – the film received mix reviews but was a commercial success. Afterwards, she appeared in “The Girl on the Train”, based on the Paula Hawkins’ novel of the same name, a performance which received praise from critics. She was also noticed in the film “Rules Don’t Apply”. Thanks to the success of all these films, her net worth increased significantly.
