Gustav Åhr was born on 1st November 1996, in Pennsylvania USA, and was a rapper and singer, who as Lil Peep had a major influence on contemporary emo; his songs are characterized by hip hop and alternative rock. Lil had been active in the entertainment industry from 2014 to 2017, when he passed away.

To begin with, the boy was raised in Long Beach, New York. From his early years, he learned to play the trombone and tuba, then after dropping out of Long Beach High School, Åhr caught up by taking on-line courses. Shortly thereafter, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his career as a rapper.
Concerning his professional career, Gustav Åhr released his first mixtape under the pseudonym Lil Peep, which achieved ihis first success and fame with 4,000 streams on Soundcloud. In 2015, came the release of the EP “Feelz”, as well as another mixtape. In 2016, Lil Peep released his first songs on Soundcloud and YouTube, which allowed him to become better known, with his songs reaching millions of views on YouTube; his most viewed video is the song “Awful Things”, which has been watched around 13 million times. Finally, in the personal life of the rapper, Lil Peep was known for his notorious drug use, and developed dependencies on cocaine, ecstasy and Xanax. He was part of the Gothboiclique collective. Despite describing himself as bisexual, he was romantically involved with Arzaylea Rodriguez, and was previously in a relationship with the actress Bella Thorne.
He died on 15th November 2017, shortly before his scheduled concert in Tucson, Arizona, after he was hospitalized apparently suffering from an overdose of Xanax.
