Gary was born to Willie Mae and Alfred Kubiak. During his high school years at St. Pius X High School in his home town, he was involved in several sports, including track and field, baseball, basketball and American Football. He was such a proficient sportsman that he was selected for All-State teams in every one of these sports. Although he matriculated from high school in 1978, in 1999, Gary Kubiak was inducted into Texas High School Football Hall of Fame. Later he enrolled at Texas A&M University where he continued his American Football career, setting several records including conference record for most touchdown passes in a single game.

Kubiak turned pro when he was selected by the Denver Broncos as the first pick in the eighth round (197 overall) of the NFL Draft in 1983 – the same year when legendary John Elway was picked by the Broncos too. During his professional playing career, which officially ended in 1991, Kubiak served as Elway’s backup, taking part in two Super Bowls in 1987 and 1990, both of which the Broncos lost. These ventures provided the basis for Gary Kubiak’s rather respectable net worth.

In 1992, Gary Kubiak began his coaching career as the running backs coach at Texas A&M, where he stayed for two seasons. In 1994, he joined the San Francisco 49ers as the quarterbacks coach, and that year won his first Super Bowl title when the 49ers defeated the San Diego Chargers. He then joined Denver, and between 1995 and 2005, Kubiak served as the Bronco’s quarterbacks coach as well as the team’s offensive coordinator, and helped the team win two Super Bowls consecutively, in 1998 and 1999. These accomplishments enabled Gary Kubiak to dramatically increase the total size of his wealth.

In 2006, Gary began serving as the head coach of the Houston Texans. During his eight seasons-long stay, he significantly improved their game, setting the club record with 61 wins in total. In November 2013, during the game against Indianapolis Colts, Gary suffered a seizure and collapsed on the pitch which what was later revealed as a mini-stroke. A month later, he was fired from the position of the Texans’ head coach. However, these engagements helped Gary Kubiak to add a significant sum to his overall revenues.

The following, 2014 season he spent as the offensive coordinator of the Baltimore Ravens, helping them to set the club’s highest result in the past 19 years. However, in 2015 he was signed as the head coach of the Denver Broncos, and under his guidance, the Broncos won the Super Bowl L title after defeating the Carolina Panthers. This achievement made Gary Kubiak the first man in the history of the NFL to have played in the Super Bowl and later claimed the title as the same team’s head coach. Although, initially he signed a four-year contract, on the 1st January 2017, Gary Kubiak resigned from his head coach position and officially retired from NFL due to personal health issues. Doubtlessly, all these accomplishments helped to further deepen the overall amount of his net worth.

When it comes to his personal life, Gary Kubiak married his high school sweetheart, Rhonda in 1983, with whom he has three sons, who have followed their father’s footsteps and become involved in NFL.
