Gael García Bernal Wiki Biography

Gael Garcia Bernal is a Guadalajara, Jalisco-born Mexican actor as well as a director, probably best known for being the founder of Canana Films in Mexico City. Born on 30 November 1978, Gael has Mexican ancestry and is now known as one of the finest actors in Hollywood. A Golden Globe award winning actor, Gael has been active in the field of entertainment since 1989.

One of the acclaimed actors on American television as well as in Hollywood, who starred in hit television series “Mozart In The Jungle” and others, one may wonder how rich is Gael as of early 2016? As of now, Gael counts his wealth at a total of $12 million. As obvious as it may sound, most of his present net worth is the result of his involvement in showbiz as an actor and a director for more than two and a half decades now.

Raised in Guadalajara by an actress and model mother and actor and director father, Gael was inclined towards acting at a very young age. While he was still a baby, Gael started his journey on Mexican telenovelas and continued throughout his teens. While a teenager, he also taught indigenous people in Mexico to read. Eventually, he attended Central School of Speech and Drama in London to study acting, and was the first Mexican student to be accepted in the school. Having finished his studies, he returned to his career as an actor and began engaging himself in American and Mexican television as well as Hollywood.

A teenage heartthrob in Mexico, Gael has worked on several television shows including “Teresa”, “El Abuelo Y Yo”, “Queen of Swords” and “Soy Tu Fan” among others. More recently, he has been starring in the series “Mozart In The Jungle” in which he portrays the role of Rodrigo. Given his acclaimed acting skills in the show, he was rewarded with a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in 2015. Needless to say, his prominence on television has been very significant in adding to his net worth over the years.

Apart from television, Gael is also widely recognized for his acting in Hollywood and Mexican movies. Some of the acclaimed movies that Gael has been a part of include “Amores Perros”, “Bendito Infierno”, “Y Tu Mama Tambien”, “The Motorcycle Diaries”, “Bad Education”, “Babel” and several others. More recently, he has starred in movies like “Letters to Juliet”, “Even The Rain”, “Jose and Pilar”, “Rosewater” and more. These are also the projects which have added a lot to Gael’s personal worth.

Apart from acting, Gael has also produced several movies, including “Cesar Chavez”, “El Aula Vacia”, “8- The Letter” and others. During his career, he has managed to attract several prestigious awards for his skillful work which includes a BAFTA Award for Best Performance as well as an Orange Rising Star Award, not to mention numerous nominations and critical acclaims.

At the present, 37 years old Gael has been enjoying his single life after a recent break-up from his long term relationship with actress Dolores Fonzi. For now, he is busy acting in the series “Mozart In The Jungle” as well as in the upcoming movie “Desierto”. The owner of Canana films, he has been enjoying life as one of the most successful and highly regarded actors in the film industry, while his present net worth of $12 million complements his success.
