Gabrielle Anne Carteris Wiki Biography

Gabrielle Anne Carteris was born on the 2nd January 1961, in Scottsdale, Arizona USA, and is an actress best known to the world for her role of Andrea Zuckerman in the TV series “Beverly Hills, 90210” (1990-2000), among many other differing appearances.

Have you ever wondered how rich Gabrielle Carteris is, as of early 2017? According to authoritative sources it has been estimated that Carteris’ net worth is as high as $1.2 million, an amount earned through her successful career in the entertainment industry which began in the late 1980s. Gabrielle also serves as president of the SAG-AFTRA actor’s union.

Gabrielle is of mixed ancestry; her father, Ernest J. Carteris has Greek roots, while her mother Marlene is of Jewish ancestry. Gabrielle has a twin brother, with whom she spent her childhood in San Francisco, California, since their parents divorced and the two went to live with their mother. Gabrielle went to Redwood High School, and while there became interested in the performing arts, taking ballet lessons and also having the chance to go on a European tour, working as a mime artist. After high school matriculation, Gabrielle enrolled at the Sarah Lawrence College, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts in 1983.

Her first screen credit appearance was as Nancy in an episode of the highly-praised TV show “CBS Schoolbreak Special” in 1987. The following year she portrayed Tracy Julian in the soap opera “Another World”, and then in 1989 made her film debut in the Golden Globe Award- nominated drama “Jacknife”, starring Robert De Niro, Kathy Baker and Ed Harris. In 1990 she got her break out role as young newspaper editor Andrea Zuckerman in the TV series “Beverly Hills, 90210”, staying on the show until 1995, when she decided to leave, and started hosting her own talk show, “Gabrielle”.

Unfortunately, the show was cancelled after only one season, and she returned to acting in 90210, appearing occasionally until 2000. Through the ‘90s, she made several other notable appearances, including in the romantic drama “Mixed Blessings” (1995), then “Touched by an Angel” (1996-1998), and in the TV series “King of the Hill” (1999), all of which added to her wealth.

She started the new millennium with the lead role in the film “Malpractice” (2001), and during the next five years, featured in low budget films such as “Combustion” (2004), and “Deck the Halls” (2005). In 2008 she portrayed Principal Tuckerman in the TV series “My Alibi”, while also starring in the drama “Print”. Her career began slowly to decline, and until 2015 she didn’t have any notable roles, when she was selected to play Amy Wolowitz in the TV series “Code Black” (2015-2016). Most recently, she portrayed Katherine in the sci-fi TV series “Send Me: An Original Web Series” (2016), and also featured in the thriller “Suicide Note” (2016). Furthermore, she will appear in the comedy “Cherbus: They Are With Us!”, which is scheduled for release late in 2017.

Back in 2012, she assumed the position executive vice president of SAG-AFTRA, after the two unions merged, and became acting president after the death of the president Ken Howard in March 2016, then full-time president in April, following the elections. Moreover, Gabrielle is the vice president of the California Labor Federation.

Regarding her personal life, Gabrielle has been married to stockbroker Charles Isaac since 1992; the couple has two children together.
